What is your goal this week?
I had this idea after reading a blog earlier this week (might have been tinapbeanas? I can't remember now). Anyway, the poster had listed a goal with her reward, the checked back in later if the week with progress. Maybe if we held each other accountable here, we can all get some things accomplished. Hey, it worked for the no-spend challenge, right?
This week I will:
1. Remain on Phase 1 of the South Beach diet
2. Follow up with a new real estate client
3. Pay off my MBNA card, balance $123
Hmmm...stuck on what my reward should be if I get all these things done. I don't really want it to be something I need to spend money on...I'll think on it.
What are you going to get done this week?

Walk on my treadmill for at least one mile every day. I have not been doing as well with this as I should since I got this computer.

Re: What is your goal this week?
woohoo! one week, one goal, the frugie sensation that's sweeping the nation!
my goal is set and almost met: i have until 10p on tuesday to cook at least three meals which will allow me to freeze left-overs rather than putting "just a bit" in the fridge where i know it will get lost.
chili is done, chicken stock is made, and spaghetti sause is simmering as we speak. hello reward!!! just don't know what it'll be yet....

Re: What is your goal this week?
My goal for the week is to get everything together for our trip to LA next week. I need to make final arrangements, confirm everything, check out a guidebook from the library, double check the budget and get our money together, and make sure I've got the information I need for the sightseeing I want to do while DH is at his conference.
I'm really excited!

My goal this week is to get everything cleaned up that I've been working on because Inlaws are coming soon. Have to get in the plumbers and electricians, also. So work on the house week. I'll probably focus on a room a day. My reward will be to breathe easier cos I will have done it early this time!

My goal is to lay plywood down in the attic so I can use that area for storage.
I had wanted to build a storage shed this year, but time any money did not allow.
I think the attic idea is a pretty decent alternative.

Re: What is your goal this week?
My goal this coming week is to complete my transition to my new checking account.
The sense of progress, how ever small that may be, would be my reward.

Same as you. I need to get to the pool. No more excuses ("I'm tIIIIIIIred!" "It's laaaaaate!"). I lost 3 lbs this week, so that gives me more motivation. Funny how it works: if I hadn't lost, or had gained wt, then I would be more likely to eat those Cheetos I was jonesing for.

Re: What is your goal this week?
Finished goal #2, following up with a new potential real estate client. He liked a few of the houses I told him about, so we are going out to look at them on Wednesday.
So far so good on South Beach - I will pay off the cc at the end of this week.

Re: What is your goal this week?
I have many goals this week, but heres my financial one:
Save as much on my weekend trip to Orlando for a car show as possible. Already staying at a friends house so I dont need a hotel. Hmmm... wonder where else I can cut back.

goal set, goal met (and ahead of schedule!): i made not 3 but 4 meals that generated enough left-overs to freeze: - chili (2 servings stashed)
- chicken stock (3 quarts remaining)
- spaghetti sauce (2 quarts remaining)
- dirty rice (4 quart size freezer bags each half full)
best of all, i used the chicken stock to make the dirty rice. woohoo!
still don't know what the reward will be, i've got till tomorro 10p to figure it out.
