I got my mile in yesterday! I think my goal next week would be to work in (go thru and throw out) my office library for at least 15 minutes a day. I will see about that next week.

Get checking statement balanced on mine and The Hubster's joint account. There is something wrong there and I've tried again and again and yet there is something I'm not seeing. I'm always tempted to just write it off, but my stickler side won't allow it. If I can't get 'er today, then it goes to The Hubster for another set of eyes for a different point of view - maybe he can spot the error!

Lux, try looking for transposed entries in your checking account. I know the feeling when you're out of balance. Sometimes with me it has been not adding the change to an entry. If your checkbook has duplicates, check them to see if you recorded the correct amount in your ledger. So many things to make one go bonkers when dealing with math! You'll find the error.

I have completed 95% of my Christmas shopping....even sent 6 pounds of Christmas cookies successfully to the USS Howard where our son is aboard ship to arrive just before Christmas. Now this week I want to complete the other two on my list....my husband and my mother-in-law!

Great topic Jodi!

Still working on my Frugal Failing when it comes to food.

By 10p Tuesday 11/7 I will...

Clean out and organize my fridge, freezer, and pantry.

I know I've got leftovers in that fridge somewhere, my frugie sense is tingling all over! I've got a mostly full pantry, and completely full freezer, but nothing has a designated home.

Well, obviously the freezer stuff has to stay in the freezer, duh!

What I mean to say is freezer leftovers are mixed around with bags of veggies, potatoes, biscuits, and at least 7 species of meat. Hard to maneuver in there. The pantry and fridge are no better, so I've got a week to work on it.

That's mine too - to get over this Upper Respiratory Infection. Apparently the stress of being a full time grad student and working 30-35 hours a week has caught up with me half way into the semester.

My goal for this week is to re-do my resume. I have all these resume books I've been looking at piled on the dining room table and I haven't done what I'm supposed to do. My reward will be to rent a DVD this weekend.

My reward will be to rent a video for Friday night. Although I could really use a massage....

this is such an easy trap to fall into: making too many goals at once. you look at the list get completely overwhelmed and suffer from "deer in headlights" syndrome.... been there, didn't get anything done. bluh...

thanks =)... i'm pretty happy... we got them at one of those sites where you input your digital pictures and they send you a printed album (kinda like a yearbook) with a promotion that ends this sunday... 25% off orders over $50 and 50% off for orders over $100... their normal promotion is buy one book, get a 2nd copy (of the same book) free... this offer allowed us to buy whatever we wanted and get half off as long as our order was over $100...

we are ordering one Classic album (the medium/regular size) for ourselves and 4 pocketbook albums (smaller size) for us, both moms, and one for my sister/maid of honor...

luckily, when we got married we found a hardworking, talented and reasonable (very reasonable for our area but he was also difficult to find as he works mainly by word of mouth) photographer whose package included the digital images on Hi-Res CD's and rights to reprints
so we were able to use all the pro pictures for our albums... =)

my sis got married in april, and she asked me to to her photographs (i do digital too). got 1200 shots of the bridal shower, bachelor/bachelorette stuff, getting the hall ready, wedding, reception when it was all said & done (ack!), so i picked 300 of the best and ordered prints and a CD w/ all of them online, & that was our wedding gift to her. my cost was under $50 after shipping. the place i ordered from is http://www.yorkphoto.com if you're ever looking for more prints. don't know if they do albums, but i know you can make your own posters, calendars, etc.

1. Done for the most part - I had a few slices of pizza while at my in-laws because there were no other options available for dinner. But I did lose 3.5 pounds this week. I only have 1.5 more to go to get to my goal weight, then I have to maintain.
2. Done - we even looked at some houses, but didn't find anything. I will keep following up as new houses come on the market.
3. I have not paid this yet as I am still waiting for the money to be transferred into my checking from my HSBC savings. As soon as it clears, this will be paid along with my $900 Discover bill (DH's tuition).

My goals for this coming week:
1. Stay on South Beach diet, Phase 2.
2. Pay off both MBNA ($123) and Discover ($900). Remove both cards from my wallet.
3. Close BOA cc.
4. Sign and return Health Care Proxy paperwork that has been sitting in my To Do pile for weeks (thanks to another post!).

thanks... i actually had a change of plans regarding the books... when i was reading the terms and conditions (fine print) it turned out that the promo would only work for multiple copies of the same book.... that sucks as it bumps up the price considerably... so we are going to wait and see if they come out with a better promo for x-mas... if not, then we'll go with their normal BOGO promo which will cost almost the same as this promo the way it is structured now...
