Default Full-time health insurance for part time work

Do you know of any other companies besides Starbucks which offers its part-time employees health insurance?

Most government jobs and healthcare organizations.

I believe Fed Ex does as well? I think that was a tip I heard... One of those delivery companies anyway.

If you have a party time job with full time health benefits you are doing gangbusters. Add several thousand dollars to what you are making. More if you have serious medical problems. Good health insurance is hard to find.

I have full health insurance for my family (4 people) and I work 20 hours/week (although not at a "party" time job!). I work for NY state though. Thank you NY!
What about Wegmans? I don't have any first hand experience, but I knew someone who received tuition assistance and only worked 1-2 days/month there (after working there through high school). Do you have Wegmans in CT?

I believe that The Container Store does; though it may only be after you've worked there a certain amount of time.

FedEx. I used to work there, and they offered health benefits to their part timers.

Costco. My sister works part time, 20 hours, there while going to school. The starting wage is only around $10/hr but she get health insurance, 401k, vacation, etc... and even overtime pay.

Our local hospice gives benefits to part time folks...30 hrs a week at 75% of full timers, 20 hours a week at 50%. My Guy gets some vacation, health insurance (but he has to pitch in more than a full timer), etc.

Julie, I am a tad bit dyslexic. Please forgive me because I am bound to keep making errors like that.

Thanks, this is good to know. No Wegman's here, tho.

I just foresee the day when i won't have to work full time, except for my very expensive prescription medicine, so i could see myself just putting in a minimum 20 hours or so a week in order to qualify for that all-important health insurance. It's a shame you have to work just for health insurance, i never thought it should be linked to employment.
