Default Today's dump run

Me 'n hubby did a dump run today and when we got there we figured out that more of our stuff was recyclable than we thought so we were able to leave that stuff off for free, then we gave away some other items that the guys who worked there wanted so by the time we got done half our load was gone so it only cost 5 bucks to dump it. I thought that was pretty neat.

Today our town had a free dump day so after lunch the guys loaded up a truckload! Old door, old-old mattress that I would have been embarassed to sit at the curb, a lawn chair that the painter guy stood on and broke, an old hand rail off the deck area, part of an old mower, and a whole potload of limbs. The other dump that we normally use has gone up on their fees to about 14.00-15.00 a load! Gee wilikers Batman!! FREE sounds ever so much better. More of a drive, but still - FREE!!!

There is still lots of fallen-wood here that needs burning but we'll get to that later this week hopefully. Some needs to be cut up and we'll take that to my sister or dad who both have the wood-burners. I'd just like my yard cleared before winter.

That was a good deal for you on the free dump day! Wish our dump did that. Feels good to get rid of all that junk, doesn't it?

Yes it does!

You got to give stuff away which is pretty cool as well. Our dump will not allow you to pick up anything that is still usable. If it's there it stays there which is absolutely ridiculous in my opinion. They sit down in their little shack w/binoculars and will bust on you if you pick up anything. Just blows my mind.
