Got Snow?

We got a trace amount that hadn't been seen since 1909! It's so frigid out! OMG! SO much for not turning on the heat til Nov, since our high yesterday was like 36 & last weekend we were in the 70's! Talk about a wake up call!

We had a frost here. THe weather is getting very wierd!!

Frost here too. I heard Buffalo, NY, got two feet already (or is forecasted to). They always get hit hard and fast.

Yup! We got snow yesterday morning and yesterday night. The morning snow lasted a while and even stuck for about 45 minutes or so. The evening snow was mostly just light flurries.

Very pretty!

And yes, the heat kicked on yesterday too. It's cold here!!!

boy, do i love the south... our high today is 65, yesterday was 76.

before i get boo'd and hissed bear in mind we only get to see snow maybe once every 10 years, but every year without fail we get a storm resulting 1-2 inch ice accumulation on trees, roads, and powerlines. now power for 2 wks bites...

I remember a few years ago I was watching the history channel and they were showing an old special from the 70's hosted by Leaonard Nimoy. That's right up there with the California company that, in 1985, started selling reservations for a space flight scheduled for 1992. Challenger of course blew the next year, and I guess the comapny lost their interested customers.

We are only 2 hours southeast of Buffalo, NY, yet did not get any of the weather they got Friday! They are saying that they won't have all the electric running again until next weekend!

We did get a bit of hail and snow yesterday, but nothing that stuck to the ground.

nothing yet, cool days but then when you are used to much warmer weather, 50 is chilly. i prefer 80 but cannot move to florida just yet!! lol it is getting around 36 at night. we usually see 1 or 2 light snows here and that is fine with me. I grew up in the quad cities in illinois, hello Pearlieq! so I understand just how you feel! usually we don't get snow until right about xmas or after. fine by me!

Got snow? How about 22 inches worth? That's what we had two days ago. Today it is melting, but we still have some mounds of snow in our backyard that the City of Amherst had to put on our property in order to plow the whole cul de sac!

Yes we're located outside of Buffalo, NY and got hit with a Columbus Day snowstorm! It looks like a war zone. Electricity is still out for some 200,000 customers. Ours was restored last night after three days of being without.

We're used to a lot of snow but not this early; especially when the leaves are still on the trees making the weight enormous.

We had snow this week. When I woke up it was white with hints of green. Whe my DS2 woke up he wanted to know if he could make a snowball. By midmorning it was green (cold but green ) outside and has been raining on and off (mostly on) ever since) I gave in and turned on the heat when I realized it was 55 degrees (F) in my house and we were shivering in sweaters.
