The main thing our house needs is to be pressure washed each year. It is stucco, so it is maintenance free, but we still get bugs, wasps nests, etc. My dh is doing that tomorrow!

The innards of the toilets. For some reason we've replaced them a number of times apiece. Hubby thinks it is the water pressure in the bathrooms. Who knows, but I am tired of dealing with them.

Toilet seats.

For some reason the ones in our downstairs bathroom always seem to break. The hinges snap and once or twice the seat cracks. The house is 2 years old and we've had 5 or 6 seats already. What I also don't get is that we don't have this problem in the upstairs bathrooms. Those are perfectly fine.

I don't get it...

mops

I'm so sick of it. We always need a new one. And, they never make the replacement heads for the one we own, so we end up w/ a whole new system.

Tweezers, glasses, plates, scissors, those plunger thingy in toilets, socks, undies....etc....etc....

Everytime we throw something away, we try to replace it with a higher quality so it would last longer.

TP. Even though I buy it at Sam's, it seems like I have to replace it too often.

For those who need to keep replacing socks, pin them together with a safety pin before throwing in the wash. Some people get around this by buying all socks in one color and the same style, so when one is lost another substitues.

That is what we do with socks, buy them all the same. Broken arrow, your room is ready. I like having a house that is maintenance free and a dh that knows how to fix everything except the heat/ac and electronics. If this computer quits working, I will just throw it away and get a new one.

Everything!

We bought a house that was built 60 years ago. Everything needs to be fixed, replaced, and updated. We have a list that will take us two to three years to complete! From little things like puting in a garbage disposal in the kitchen sink to a new furnace and A/C to a new driveway. DH just decided that the back roof needs to be replaced (something the house inspector missed when we bought last year!)

Oh. And forks. All the forks keep disapearing. It's just me, DH and the dog. DH says he dosen't know what I'm talking about and quickly changes the subject. The dog didn't have much to say at all when I asked her. Must be aliens.

If you use the old time rag mop kind, you can make a new rag mop by using old t shirts and towels. I've had the same one by making my own since 1981.

I'm tired of buying TP and light bulbs. But I am working on the light bulb one by replacing them with the 7 year cf ones. If you save your receipt and packing, they really do replace them if they burn out before their time. I have a folder for them in my file cabinet.

LOL
Ima saver, If ya remember one of my 1st posts, HHHHHMMMMMM I still ten to one will be able to NOT buy TP until the sale is the best it can be! LOL
I reckon' it would be socks!
No sock monster here though, Just teenage boys!!!!!!!!!
Since we live deep in the country on a graval type hill they tend to wear there socks outside, So between Bleach & sewing and them.......not mentioning losing several over here & over there.
I reckon' Socks are bought with the normal staples at my home!

We seem to spend a fortune on our yard, seed, fertilizer, stuff to get rid of moles. My neighbor has never spent a dime and her yard looks better than ours.

Oh yeah, light bulbs. I am the light bulb killer according to my family. I blow tons a year just turning on lights. And it seems to be just me. I even blew one out in my MIL house in a basement bathroom that hadn't been changed in 25 years! They were shocked! I struck again.

JanH I bought three of them supposed to be longer lasting blah blah blah and doing an experiment on them. I am trying to see actually how long it takes them to go out! They are supposed to last five years! If they do and my figures are right, they are way cheaper than the normal blub. I put them in my son's room. Of course since his leaves his like on forgetful teen, I thought it would get daily use. HAHAH So far, the two I bought for his room has lasted three years!

Groceries!!

Does that count? It seems never ending going to the grocery store, picking out the food, taking it out of the cart, putting in shopping bags, loading in car, unloading and putting away!

I'll agree with the TP and lightbulbs, too.
