How long have you been here?

As I come up on my first year annivesary of starting a blog next month, I got to wondering how long everyone else has been around. I know, I know, I could look this up on the top of everyone's posts, but I thought it would be fun to post here about how long you have been a member, a blogger, or just a lurker. Most people have posted why they came here - but what made you stay?

I was surprised to see that I have been a member since April of 2005. I think I might have joined, but not really became a regular contributor until several months later when I had some time to really look around. I started my blog in October, 2005, and have written every 1-2 days, more or less, since.
I was a member of some other forums previously, but have never seen one that is so supportive and with so little drama. It is truely amazing how this site has brought together so many people, from so many different backgrounds, with so few instigators or naysayers. Thank you Jeffrey, Nate, and everyone who contributes!

1 year, 5 months for me and going strong.

I am really curious to see who has been here the longest and is still a regular contributor.

Since november 04, couple months shy of 2 years...been blogging that long, though it was called a journal when I started, heh, when I joined I only had 2 kids...time flys

I was also paying off my DDs brith...and a funky budget that was sometimes red sometimes black...Now I have 3 kids, budget in the black, and some savings.

Perky, I knew you were a long-timer. I heard about this site from you on another forum (one I don't even visit anymore). Back then you were the mom of 2 and announced the news of #3 on the way!

Does that mean April 2004 was the "birth" of this site?

I've been around since it was Greedy Fools, before the name change. Jeffrey and I have worked together exchanging articles and such between our site. He did a Q&A for DivaTribe visitors years ago.

I enjoy talking about finances and budgets, so I stick around.

I juoned right before new year's eve of last year, so it has been almost 9 months. I love the fact that everyone is so nice, not like that on the other forum that I am on.

Too many "real" people I know spend too much and it makes me nuts.

Yes, although we ran a site called GreedyFools for about a year before that that ultimately was purchased (the domain name) by a much larger finance site that thought we were violating their trademark (while we weren't, we felt we needed a better and more appropriate name for the site at that time and figured it was better to sell and move on at that point), but most of the information from that site was moved to this one.
