Default Tax Poem - USA slant

An email forward --

This is too true to be very funny:

Tax his land,
Tax his wage,
Tax his bed in which he lays.

Tax his tractor,
Tax his mule,
Teach him taxes is the rule.

Tax his cow,
Tax his goat,
Tax his pants,
Tax his coat.

Tax his ties,
Tax his shirts,
Tax his work,
Tax his dirt.

Tax his tobacco,
Tax his drink,
Tax him if he tries to think

Tax his booze,
Tax his beers,
If he cries,
Tax his tears.

Tax his bills,
Tax his gas,
Tax his notes,
Tax his cash.

Tax him good and let him know
That after taxes, he has no dough.

If he hollers,
Tax him more,
Tax him until he's good and sore.

Tax his coffin, Tax his grave,
Tax the sod in which he lays.

Put these words upon his tomb,
"Taxes drove me to my doom!"

And when he's gone,
We won't relax,
We'll still be after the inheritance TAX !!

Too true, too true, too true.

And to boot get this...if you take the constitution of the US at face value...all those taxes are illegal!

The ONLY way the constitution says the government can collect tax in on IMPORTS!
But now, they don't want to tax imports too much because that would make the US an isolationist? Whatever!

Taxes drove me to my doom! - Love that line.

Excellent.

There are also some weird taxes tacked on to airline tickets and rental cars.

You also didn't have running water, electricity, air conditioning, dishwashers, refrigerators, reliable heat, telephone, television, the computer, the Internet, movies, practically unlimited selection of food, clothes, shoes, makeup, and jewelry, easy national and international travel, mutual funds, $5 stock trades, consumer protection laws, unemployment benefits, .................................................. ..............................................

Only because employers only hired men. Plus she didn't have a right to vote.

Point taken on the taxes though.

if you want to kill something, tax it (like tobacco and alcohol etc). So why so many taxes on things we don't want to kill?
