I have been getting a lot of offers for gift cards since I signed up to do surveys. I never reply to them, because when something is too good to be true, it usually isn't true.

To think about it logically, who benefits from this? Is there really anyone to whom your answers on a survery are really worth a $1,000 gift card? How would companies stay in business if they were just handing out $1,000 left and right? If there really were a free and easy source of $1,000 gift cards, don't you think you would have heard about it by now? Internet users can regularly crash websites in search of coupons or samples. If there were a free $1,000 gift card to be had it wouldn't be a secret!

Real surveys normally don't pay too much--either points for a small fee ($5 - $15). This is spam.

Please, please understand I don't mean this to be rude or harsh. I'm just trying to talk you through the logic I use when trying to decide if something is legit or not. It can be really hard to tell, and they come up with new offers every day!

Well duh Perlieq now that you put it that way it makes perfect sense! I just got interested because of hearing all of the folks around here talking about gift cards and it's virgin territory for me so chalk it up to being a newbie! Thanks for the boink on the head! I needed that!
