Exclamation Advice On How To Get Out of Debt Quickly Only $125!!!!

This is an ebay auction!!! I was reviewing my ebay stuff today and you know how they now list similar items up for bid? Well, for some reason this one was listed. So out of curiousity I opened it. It is for someone to bid on a person to give them one hour of debt advice and the winner must follow the plan. It is so funny. Like spending that much is going to get me out of debt! This is totally off topic but I thought it was funny. I am actually surprised ebay hasn't shut it down yet.

Does Ebay have a policy on not selling financial advice?

I can give you all the advice you need to get out of debt for free.

Never ever answer the phone when it is a collection agency calling. After 4 years of no payments and no promise by you to pay any amount on the debt, not even 1 red cent, to them and legally you are free of that debt. This does not work for vehicles or homes since they can be repo'd or foreclosed.

That part I don't know about.

Doctor bills can be negotiated if you can sit down with them and show a solid budget does not allow you to pay your debts. Cellphone, cable, internet is not part of a solid budget and will not impress them to your serious financial situation!

I don't know about all states, but collection agencies usually have a right to sue you. If you don't respond to the lawsuit, a default judgment will be entered against you. Then you can have property repossessed or worse, they can garnish your wages.

The right thing to do, IMHO, is pay the bill if you owe it, clear your record if you don't, or declare bankruptcy if you truly can't.
