Im the office manager for the laboratory of a hospital.

As such, I am responsible for making sure all the paperwork that involves the hospital lab plus our outpatients gets handled and scanned Additionally I do all the fun, nitty-gritty things like answering calls, timekeeping and accounting for the lab personel and ordering supplies. I also train everyone on all the new software they constantly introduce, lol.

I am currently the homemaker, having moved to MD from GA 10 months ago, and about to move to Colorado sometime in the next 6 months.

So, I am working on projects that will inexpensively increase the value/curb appeal/etc of our home.

I'm also taking an online project management certification course that will hopefully fill in some gaps on my resume so that I can get on with DH's company post-move.

(My resume includes: Corporate trainer, telecom. industry; assistant manager, retail telecom.; non-profit communication/marketing director; editor of student features and literary magazines; server and server trainer at Numerous eating establishments; doughnut maker; public relations for GA assoc. of professional bail bonds, etc.)

DH is a senior engineering manager with an engineering firm and will be the Field engineering supervisor on the new project in Colorado to work on the cleanup of mustard agent from munitions stored there.

(I hope to get into project controls so that every time they move us, I'll have a job, too.)

newly retired from 33 years as a theraputic foster parent.

Now I'm pasting together some sort of income........
2 respite kids on the week ends
Board 4 horses
Rent out 1 bedroom
Rent out RV space out back
New renters as of today...........creating another RV area, they get the spot near the chicken coop
Renting out covered parking in our big 4 bay carport
Leasing my old house, but this just covers monthly bills, insurance and taxes, so doesn't count as income.

Sewing business picking up......Teaching knitting ...1 student at this point.
Foster Parent Recruiter for our county until the contract runs out Sept 30th (fingers crossed that I can get on with whomever is awarded the new contract)

When I see it all written down, I get a tad overwhelmed. It explains why I feel tired and can get pretty fragmented some days.

Occupations...
I graduated from undergrad with a psych degree.
Hired as a resident counselor at a shelter for runaway/homeless teens a month before I graduated... worked there for 8 months before moving to NJ with my boyfriend when he graduated from undergrad.

Became preschool teacher, was a preschool teacher for almost a year.

Now accepted to Ed.S. program in School Psychology.
Currently a grad assistant in financial aid.
I also babysit for 1.5x my hourly wage as a grad assistant. Also make/sell knitted bags.
Will be a School Psychologist in 3 years after 2 full years of classes and 1 full year internship.

Boyfriend/now Fiancee as of 2 days ago, is Grad Student in PhD program in Plasma Physics.

I am a tenured Assistant Professor at a state university teaching Ethnic Studies. I am a widow.

I notice that as a group we skew towards the professional class with higher than average incomes. Interesting.

I am croupier which I have been doing since 1995 when my portfolio started to take off. This current job allows me to actively manage my assets during the day. For education, I have a double major in finance and chemistry and 3 years of dental school under my belt (after completing 6 months of my clinical rotation I decided it wasn't for me). In the past, I worked 3 years as a controller of a construction firm and 5 years as an IRS revenue agent.

I'm a SAHM now (although I sell on Ebay, and am looking at expanding that into a full time thing), most recently I worked as Benefits Analyst for a major HR consulting firm. My Dfiancee is a CNC machinist..he makes..uhhhh stuff rofl. We are starting a lawn care business next spring, so we're in the planning stages of that, as well as starting to find out information on small business grants (not loans). We want to open a movie/game buy/sell/trade store, as well as sell that stock on Ebay. We'r entrepenuers at heart!
