Wow
These are great! I love how so many people would give their time to help others and how so many would really enjoy life and their families!

I love the video game playing as well! - I would too and not feel guilty about it!!! Movies and Good TV programs too!

I'm sure my husband and I would travel more! We would take our five growing children and show them beautiful places around the country. I'm sure my husband would continue to work, but he wouldn't be as stressed as he is now.

I have noticed in the high pace of lifestyle in Silicon Valley that people always talk about their jobs and rarely ever anything about hobbies or home projects.

I come to believe and sometimes I am one of them come to the point where we are overworked and now forgotten how to relax and do things other than work.

I would do more volunteer work...I've always wanted to sit in the maternity ICU and just rock the little babies.

I think once I get into the swing of things at my new job, my dd (aged 10) and I will volunteer with the library bringing books to people who are housebound. It's only a 2 hour commitment every 2 weeks, and will be doable for us. I do other volunteer work as well, but I want to be careful not to take on more than I can chew. Off topic...

Other than that, I wouldn't change anything.

Oh, so many, many things!

TRAVEL -- I used to travel all the time, have been all over the world, but just haven't had the money to do it for about four years now. I'M ITCHY! The irony is that DH is from England and we haven't been there at all since he emigrated here in 2003. I would love to spent some time there, getting to know his homeland and visiting with his family. I'd also love to take him to some of the places I've been to in the past -- Chile, Costa Rica, South Africa, New Zealand -- so I can "reexperience" those places with him.

BUY A HOME & REDECORATE/REMODEL -- I am 33 and am still a renter. One of our goals is to become homeowners, but moreover I'd love to decorate and remodel a home to really make it OURS. Plus to see how our investment in home improvement could end up turning a profit. I watch HGTV and am addicted to the design shows on there -- I have so many ideas I want to try out, but I need a house first!

MOVE TO THE UK -- This sort of combines my two previous wishes!

START A FAMILY -- Need I say more?

DABBLE MORE IN DESIGN -- I love design and art but have not had much opportunity to explore these activities in recent years. I would really like to take those things up again.

Perhaps if you were well off enough to be able to move every two years, you could splurge and be professionally moved as well. If we are dreaming, let's dream big!

Personally, I would like to be able to volunteer either at a school or at my church.

Was going through some old notes and today I found the 10 things I will do when I'm rich. I thought I'd share them here. Please feel free to steal any of them!

1) set up trusts for my stepdaughter for life
2) choose to spend my time instead of being forced to spend my time a certain way(like working)
3) move to a two acre property -- with more privacy
4) a vacation home in Vegas for my DH, and one near the beach or mountains for me(I think it's meant for us to spend our vacations together just to two different places)
5) dedicate my time to making a difference with people (i.e. volunteering)
6) get my BMW back(had to give it up when we hit financial difficulties-- but I wouldn't dare get one again unless I was financially free)
7) vacation two months a year - take on mountain climbing
8) learn to ride horses again
9) meet successful people
10) spend time helping survivors of a natural disaster

I think I'm going to print this and put it up as my motivation :-)

OK, that works as well! I thought maybe you had some pieces of furniture you were emotionally attached to.

I haven't read everyone's responses but here's my 2-cents.

I am absolutely one of those people who wouldn't be bored if I retired. There are so many things that I would like to do, or do more of, that I simply don't have the time for.

We enjoy travel immensely. We just got back from a week in Vermont and only saw a fraction of the things on the list we made before we left. We would have been perfectly happy to stay up there for another week or two to fully explore the area.

We are big Disney fans and travel to Disney once a year. We used to go twice (or even 3 times) until DD got into school. But if I didn't have to work, I would definitely head down there for 2 or 3 weeks during the summer.

If you are a homeowner, there is always something that needs to be done, fixed, remodeled, etc. My yard is a mess and I just haven't had the time to get out there and trim all the bushes, pull weeds, prune the trees, etc. I'd love to have time to do that.

I have been a collectibles dealer for 20 years but hardly do any sales at all anymore. I would love to be able to get back to going to auctions regularly and selling on ebay actively. I really enjoy doing that.

I'm active at my synagogue but would love to have more time to devote to helping there with planning and running activities.

I could go on and on but I guarantee I wouldn't be bored for a moment.
