Default Shopper queen on Wife Swap

There is someone who is really good at couponing, etc on Wife Swap. A bit more extreme, though, I hope, than anyone on here.

haha, I saw it. Use the spare bathroom to store toilet paper....I think Imasaver lives there and is stocking up on all of her tp. lol

she was a bit extreme though. If i find something on sale it has to be a good deal and I won't buy 20 of them. She was a nice lady though.

The whole house was jam packed. The kids didn't even know where the toys were that they would have wanted to play with, there was so much junk. That house was only about 2 notches down from the house on the videotape that was posted on here about a week or two ago.

IRL there aught to be balance, between stockpiling when things are on sale, and cluttering up your house..and anyone who uses paper plates everynight is a bit off on her money saving (but hey, guess she had it to spend..)

anyway, moderation doesn't sell..only the extream..so they have an anti clutter with a clutterholic, pair em up and you get ratings..

I think I saw that one a while back. Maybe it was a rerun. Didn't he go out and buy real dishes for her. Yeah, I think she takes it a bit far. Organization has to be there for the bulk/stockpiling thing to work and actually save you money.

Lucky for me, I have a huge bathroom, plus a seperate room for the toilet. It has a huge closet in that room, so that is where I keep my 75 rolls of toilet paper. I got it on sale for $1 (4 double rolls, the good stuff) So I got a bunch of it. I don't stock pile anything else.

I don't think this lady was a good example of being frugal. She was very disorganized in her home and in her use of coupons(did you see the mess her coupons were in?). She did not store properly, she did not seem to have a rotation system, and she did not cook from scratch. She barely cooked at all! She did seem more wasteful than frugal. I bet she ends up throwing a lot of food away.

They never have good examples!

I keep telling DH even though we hate the show we should apply just to offer a GOOD example of homeschooling!

She is more than a bit extreme. I think OCD is more likely. What good does it do to buy stuff that is not ever going to be used? I don't know how her family can stand to live like that.

If you all remembered right I have several packages of TP (BLUSHING) But I also watched the tv show! She I felt love to shop also and well....Went extreme because of the rush of a sale. I too, have to watch myself when it comes to lost leaders......Because getting a sale in jumbo doesn't count if it is not used in a proper time frame. i understand the toliet paper, etc..... Non food things but paper plates. Convience to say the least. I do not used paper plates napkins etc.....I wash dishes. So I reckon' it is a comfort level to tightwadding....To each there own!

I definitely thought using the bathroom to stockpile was a bit extreme and unfair especially since 6 people share the other bathroom.

The garage did have extra room after everything got boxed up. It was sad to see all of the items that were in storage 'just in case'. She could make a lot of money in a garage sale...

She was very nice but seems a lilttle out of it, maybe OCD or ADD She needs to learn some organization. Her coupon method was just insane!

Think what an anti-consumerist could buy with $20,000!
