Which is worse, dumped for your bestfriend or dumped for your worst enemy?

I don't know what brought this up, but I would think that losing your best friend in the process would be the worse one.

Hmmm... my initial thought was the worst enemy, because you would be thinking "she's better than ME?". The best friend scenario -well, better off without her, don't you think? (oh I'm assuming it's a male)

both of these things have happened to me, and i was very hurt.
then i got to sit back and watch the girl that i "thought" i was "in love" with(group of friends), and i found out that she wasn't the person i thought she was, and that i was better off without her.
it sucks now, but it will be better in the long run.
also, i am with the girl of my dreams now, everything happens for a reason, you just can't see it right now.

People come and go in life so we all have to move on. Don't let it eat away at you in either scenario. If the person isn't with you, then what does it matter who or where they are with. Losing a best friend is difficult but if that is the case, then maybe you are better off. As for your worst enemy, I wouldn't really want someone sharing my personal info with my worst enemy so that is upsetting as well. But, you can't control what other people do or say or think. So, it is painful, but put it behind you.

If you are dumped for your worse enemy, then no better place to let the "dumper" go to. Then, as "dumpee", you can sit back and watch the enemy and "dumper" make each other miserable.

Life is too short to dwell on this scenario for too long. If this happens, bound up and carry on as soon as possible.

When I was in High School.... all those many many years ago... the rule was, you never dated anyone your bestfriend had dated... its just a betrayal thing... I watched my daughter go thru this several years ago.. her bf dumped her for her best friend... it ended a friendship that had begun in kindergarten... the two were inseperable.... she lost on both counts... luckily the friendship has healed, but it took two years and they are not as close, and she came to realize the bf was and still is a complete jerk....

Definetly for your best friend I used to have a so called friend who liked to get my boyfriends or any guy I was interested in interestesd in herself!! As for my ex I dont know his new wife but I am so glad she got the bum & not me even at 18 I figured out he was going nowhere!!

I just laugh at them both my ex hasnt worked in years & they take his new wifes tax return for childsupport & give it to me & my daughter so I guess the jokes on her LOL!! Thanks but I will definetly take my dh now any day over that thing!! Even though years ago I thought they were a bunch of jerks my ex worked & wouldnt pay support & his wife would say I cant tell you where he works well guess what now they take her tax checks hmm maybe she is thinking she should have gave me the info back then!!

Point being in the long run the winners win!!!
