Scenic pictures overlooking places like Niagara Falls on the boat "Maid of the Mist" and touring the Grand Canyon when I am afraid of heights!

I got into the beanie baby thing when it was popular. Anybody want to buy about 100 beanie babies with a house (my husband built for some of them)?

Its a tossup between extra unused bedrooms, or any infomercial product outside of a george forman grill.

A new car.

I don't know if anything can top buying a new car as a foolish expense. What else depreciates so quickly and so drastically?

We bought a new car in 2003. We paid a good price and got a good rate. It is a good car. Still, a dumb purchase. I don't intend to ever buy a brand new car again, via loan or cash or otherwise.

Lets see, so many... new tiles, new bathroom (didn't add any value to house), new couch (uncomfortable), kids toys (too many), 3 prams, treadmill, eliptical machine...

It goes on and on...

I once brought cat supplies 50% off from a petstore that was closing. The next day they were 75% off. I WASTED at least $75.

I also brought health insurance once for $200 a month for a whole year because I thought I would be sick a lot. Turns out when I did become sick, I was too poor to go to the doctor after the deductible because I spent too much money on health insurance. Nowadays I buy the cheapest health insurance ($20 a month) and I save the rest for medica expenses.

I bought a machine that you step on , and it measures the amount of fat on your body. It works, but it was a waste of money.

I don't buy any exercise equipments anymore. I love biking. It is fun and it saves money on gas.

A good bike caliberated to fit a person perfectly is better than any exercise equipment.

I hear you on the dogs! I have three Alaskan Malamutes totaling over 250 lbs!! I did wait until I owner my own home, but still yes they are expensive, but I don't regret it and I'd get rid of alot of things before them.

I do have a compact car. One fits nicely sitting in the back seat (without a kennel) and I rarely take all three any place at the same time. Too much dog, not enough of me. Though I have taken a three hour car ride in a hyundi elantra with all three of them.....don't want to do that again!

Yes, I spent $600.00 to kennel them for the whole week I went to the bahamas....so worth it!

Today I had to replace the license plates on my car because one (license plate) was stolen. On impulse, I ordered personalized "vanity" plates with my initials. I paid $52 for ordering them and then will have to pay $26 a year. Completely stupid. I thought, my savingadvice.com friends will be horrified. Please don't disown me!!!

We are horrified! Horrified that you didn't tell us what it said! At least tell us that, and we won't disown you.

No you spent the money wisely. I once brought one book that was an older edition than claimed. I ended up getting two Bs instead of two As.

For the $100 I saved, I lost about $1000 in scholarship opportunity. I would gladly spent the $100 in the first place.
