Default don't give up

Several years ago, while I was married, we owed-not alot, but we did owe on credit cards and autos. Now, I am a single mom of 3, with only my income, and am in better financial shape than I was with 2 people bringing in an income. I paid cash for my auto, all credit cards are paid in full-most are gone. I kept my sears and a visa, for emergency use only-but carry no balance on either one. I make an extra $75 on my mortgage payment every month. My first paycheck of the month goes to the house payment and my daughters school tution. The 2nd paycheck of the month pays my utilities and goes to savings. Don't give up. you can get out of debt. As you do get out, take the money you were paying towards one bill, and start applying it to the next. Cook from scratch. If you dont need it, dont buy it. If you do need to buy it, buy it used. Rent out a room to go towards the rent or house payment. There is a way out. Brainstorm-tell yourself you will come up with 101 ways to get ahead. Then review your list later. Some of the more silly ideas will later spark an idea to a more realistic one.

Yes...I think that it can all get overwhelming at some points and people wonder if they really can get out of debt or if it is worth it, but it is a matter of not giving up and using your creative juices. Brainstorming can produce great ideas that can really help. If you're stuck on ideas, just look at money saving tips on any site and they can spark new ideas.

I was watching a rerun of Dr Phil yesterday, with the coule who had no time or money- Ginger and ?, but they had a lizard
When he was reviewing their budget he said to challenge everything...that there are no sacred cows I liked that 'cause so often we think we need something, because we've always had it, everyone else has one etc
When you want to save money- question everything...
