Default What household chores/duties have you been putting off doing?

I've been told not to say "chores" as it is a negative connation, so I'll say duties....So which duties have you been putting off and saying each to yourself each day or week that "I'm going to get to this!!" (?) For me it's getting to my closet and dresser drawers and tossing the things I know I won't be able to wear again.

Well off to make a dent in the first drawer before I go shopping today.

My room!

I do most of the work that needs done daily..well daily..
and before we go anywhere the kids clean up their stuff..which means their rooms, and the living room, and the kitchen..leaving my room for last..and no one ever gets to it!

not to mention the 'stuff' I hate sorting stuff...piles of papers..prolly none are needed...piles of DHs toys..again totally not needed! piles of stuff to mail, stuff for the good will, stuff I just have no room for..my bedroom is a disaster!

That and yard work is always last minute..I started to mow last week and the things topped on me, after I did the back and half way thru the fornt! terrible, my neighbors are complaining right now (to themselves) but oh well.

Wow. You guys must be getting me ready for teaching high school this fall. (Princess I may have expected that from, but Ima . . .) How about "clean" the windows?

I've been painting my office, so that's the excuse to put off EVERYTHING else....

I've never cleaned a window, ever. I should be so lucky to have everything done except windows!

Today there is junk all over living room, dishes in the sink, laundry on the floor and a mess of files all over my desk. It's too much to think about, so I'm not cleaning any of it.

Well . . .my office/study/workroom is a shambles. I've been beavering away at it for what seems an eternity, promising myself that one of these days I'll empty it out and start over. In the meantime I continue to declutter, discard, file . . . and grumble.

The rest of the place is actually in fair shape. The only thing I'm procrastinating on is the vacuuming. I'm always procrastinating on the vacuuming. I hate to vacuum -- no, I really hate the racket. There are some sounds -- vacuums, weedeaters, lawnmowers -- that drive me crazy. So I don't until I must, and then I do, but I hate vacuuming.

Using the vacuum! I hate it, but love how nice it makes things look.
