Smile store deals for family clothes?

where are you finding cheap family clothing deals???
i purchase when i find a giveaway price almost.... i buy organic george clothes from wmt, for three dollars and more for the kids... for adults i pay up to six dollars for dress pants and shirts at sears...i went to goodwill and purchased a pair of shorts for three dollars used.. namebrand, but, i think if i would have shopped around i could have purchased a pair new for that price...most of the garage sales in my area are priced high this year and it is mostly junk... do you know of any websites that offer low prices and reasonable shipping, besides the occasional deals i find... thanks for the replies in advance..

Sounds like you are hitting all the right places. Clearance sales are best too. Hit an outlet mall on a Monday in July after the weekend sales. Buying online still requires shipping!

Craig's list (at least around here, not sure about Ohio) will sometimes have lots that are worth it.

You can also do a local seach on eBay to avoid shipping charges (though I've found some great eBay deals that require shipping too -- again in lots.)

If you find a website with deals you like, but shipping you don't, make sure to Google the site and see if there are any coupon codes for free shipping. I'd say that works for me about 50% of the time.

If you garage sale and the clothes are overpriced offer what you think they're worth. The worst that can happen is that they say no . . .

How much clothing do you need to purchase? I just purchase a few outfits at a time, let the kids wear them until stained or worn out, then go to WM for more. You can buy new clothes at WM for the price of used at Goodwill or other consignment stores. Less is sometimes more.

If you don't mind having a limited selection I would wait until August for the 75% off summer clearance sale in department stores.

Their clothes last longer, at least for me.
