Making an extra $50/month doing something easy? Make $10/survey? Run a successful online business on the side?

Share!

Me, I make $100/month from an old client of mine doing computer support. He has me on "retainer" and I help him out when needed.

hmm...poker? I wouldn't consider that making money because it's too easy to loose money....I would rank that up there with the lottery.

However, if he is good at it then more power to him! :-)

Well it depends on how you do it, he started with 20 and treated it as a buisness, investing only 20 meant he could only lose 20. You have to go somewhere else if you want to know how he did it safely (but discipline is important) and you gotta go out of here, can't talk about the game here.

Course I have to give credit to the 20$ challenge for getting DH in it, might not be making us millions but anything is more than zero.

The thing is most people assume that there is well mostly luck in playing, and there is some, but there are also people offering promotions to 'pad the tables' and those are what DH is taking advantage of. kindof like taking all the freebees

We participate in (brick-and-mortar) market research studies. They range from $5 for a 5-minute survey to $200 for a 2-hour study. Things like watching movie previews and trying out new kinds of cereal.

It's easy money. This dog is so good. Never barks and is a perfect guest.

Financial Institution rate arbitrage. I look for loans with a low interest rate and deposit accounts with a higher rate so that I can pocket the difference.

Well, I'm kind of handy with computer hardware and software. Every so often, I get referrals, people who either want PCs upgraded or have problems of one sort or another.

I charge a flat $25 an hour for my time, with a one hour minimum. Treat the income as "found money" that goes into savings.

Well most things I will list I do reguarly as its my only source of income but most people would only do these things ocasionally probably if they have a "real" job. I do demos 3 times a week some people only do these ocassionaly I would too if I went back to work ft so 1 day a week doing these or a few a month could bring in extra cash!! Also I use tons of coupons & match with rebates & sales for triple play I have gotten so much free around here its not even funny by doing this I have gotten beach towels & powers wheels jeep & sleeping bag & sometimes clothes. I also mystery shop for a little extra cash but mainly the free stuff I get is nice for the kids like movies or eating out ya know. And I guess I save money by finding people I know to do things most of my family is in the car business so I have someone to fix my car cheap or free for just about anything that is wrong with them. And I have a friend who will cut the familys hair for free she is a hair stylist. ANd I get cheaper parts for appliances because I know someone in that business too. And I sale things here & thier on ebay & I have a few rummages each year usually sale alot of stockpile items I got free so I make ok money doing this.
I also do the b&m research studies I have made $400 doing that this year & thats for 18 hours total I also do online surveys. I also drive cars for some car dealers once in awhile & make $25 a piece doing that. These could all be done for a little extra cash here & thier but I do these all the time to make my living right now!!

I think anyone with computer skills could make extra money teaching older people how to use a computer. I would be glad to pay someone to come to my house and teach me once a week.

I make about $6/ mo selling books on half.com. If I'm getting rid of books, I take some in for trade, some I list on half.com, and some I just give away at work. I only list books that will get me at least $5, because I don't want to go to the Post Office for less. I might be able to make more by spending more time, but I like this low effort.

I average $2/ mon on Surveys. I do NOT do it as a moneymaker; for some reason I enjoy them. Some months I get nothing, but then I get a $5 or $10 one.

I make about $6/mo recycling. I don't just recycle what's in the house, I collect recycling at work and pick it up when I see it.

I don't need more income; if I did, I'd get an additional part time job, or sell my services (paperwork organizing, other organizing, etc.)

I breed labs.

My husband and i sale firewood.

I make crafts to sell at a Holiday craft fair.

I am doing some of the trial memberships and banking deals.

But mainly, I budget a set amount and then do whatever I can to come in UNDER budget. In the past 3 months (since joining this site) I have gone from living month to month...to having enough in the bank at the FIRST of the month to cover all bills....my next goal...to get a full month ahead.
