Default June 6, 2006....06-06-06

06-06-06 is two days away...

Am I bringing up a taboo subject to ask your thoughts?

My thought....it is another day...just has an 'eerie' number attached to it.

But I have read that some women are actually being induced to avoid having their child born on this date....

Thoughts? (not necessarily on the inducing issue, but rather the implications of the date itself)

I have heard about the women being induced too. Crazy!
I had a friend whose birthday was 6-6-66 and she had a mole on her thigh that looked like a 6 - no kidding!!! She was not evil or crazy! A nice girl. Too many people believing what they see in the movies!

Boomeyers!!! Are you just now getting started in the land of discussions???? If so, welcome! (cute avatar!)

I am looking forward to seeing how folks feel about this 6-6-6 thing...

that is odd about your friend..but I agree with the whole movie/media hype.

It is a non-event.

06-06-2006 has no significance whatsover.

You do realize that in order to get 666 out of this date you have to ignore 2000 years and a few zeros, right?

I think it's good angle for a movie release date. That's it.

I do...and I agree.

I am just curious how others are feeling...

I know people who are taking the day off from work....'just in case'....

I know someone who is getting married on that date...

To me, as I sid in my original post, it is another day...

But I know there are many who feel otherwise...

Look at this way... the world didn't end on June 6 in the year 666, so what significance could June 6, 2006 have?

nor did it end on June 6, 6- which is even more significant, when you think about it...

True! Except in the year 666 people had 365 days to live through and think ... "I wonder if today is the day!"...

I don't think there's any real reason to fear the day. That being said there are people who might be inspired to do who knows what. As far as inductions . . . If I knew I had to be induced anyway (not my story . . .I'm in planned repeat c-section land) I'd pick a day that wasn't 6/6/06 for the same reasons I'd avoid 9/11, 4/1, 10/31, etc. I also would be unlikely to name a child Katrina or Wilma or Rita or . . . .

The only evil numbers are interest rates on debt and 04/15 of any year.

i think we all have enough real concerns to occupy our time so we don't need this silly stuff on top of it.

The other teacher in my preschool room was afraid of having her twins on 6-6! She ended up having them (not induced) on Friday 5/26. But it was a concern!

No, there is something much scarier than Satan: stagflation. That's what is spooking investors.
