My dh & I have been together 7yrs & married for 3 yrs & have 2 kids together I call it my second time around although I was really never married before I already had a child with someone else. I brought more into the marriage all the way around my daughter my houses & my savings the only thing dh brought was some debt. I didnt do a prenup I know bad bad decision on my part but I am sure we were meant to be even though he drives me crazy with bad money management sometimes I am sure it was just meant to be. I am positive we will be together forever. BUt I do regret sometimes the prenup but I have lots of paperwork & proof of what I brought into the marriage
We met by accident but threw a friend when I met dh I tried getting my best friend to go out with him she wanted nothing to do with him so I felt bad for him & went out with him. |

No pleading at all, I was ready for this date. He had a part time girlfriend too. I realized that when I married the first time, it was not really love!!
When I met my husband, it was love at first sight. We sat up all night talking. I asked him to a wine tasting party the next night, but he already had a date. He went home, broke his date the next day and came to take me to the party. We were never apart after that. I even learned how to eat left handed so we could hold hands and eat dinner. |

I handle all the financial stuff too and it seems to work out perfectly for both of us!

Single....still. GGRRRR
What to be married, just haven't found the right one...or he hasn't found me or....something like that.... Rather be single than marry someone just for the sake of being married....but I have family members who think otherwise.....gggrrrrr |

Divorced.
![]() I don't think I want to get involved again anytime soon though, except for the "right" person... then maybe I'll make an exception... just one last time. |

I've been married twice. First to my HS sweetheart -- together a total of 12 years, married for 5 years. At a certain point we just figured that we could either stay married and be miserable, or divorce and remain great friends; we chose the latter. Our split was so amicable, it literally took us about 15 minutes to divide up our stuff.
Mark and I met online four years ago and married the year after that. He's from the UK so that made things a lot more complicated (and expensive!) but it's been totally worth it. This is his first marriage -- and it'd better be his last! ~ Jenney |

I know some of you are single. I could not imagine being single and alone. Do you like it?? Do you hope to stay single??

I actually like being single right now. However, that's being compared to how messy my divorce was. I'm also kind of a quiet guy anyway, so I do enjoy the peace and quiet. Sometimes, it does get a bit um... lonely. However, whenever I get like that, I just think about what I've had to go through when I was married, and then I... don't feel so bad!
![]() I'm of the opinion anyway, that there is no good or bad between the two. I think it's just a matter of making the best of the situation I find myself in, regardless of what that situation is. |

I guess when you have never been apart from a person for 30 years, it seem impossible to conceive of ever being alone.

i live seperately part of the week from my spouse at times... it makes the marriage better... we are together on the weekends now... our house was flooded on ki from a defective water line to the ice maker... construction workers have still not scheduled to begin, we have check in hand from allstate??????? hope they start soon, it will take two weeks... on the bright side of things, we have had several drop ins, who showed up and we were not there and they had to shell out money to stay on the island.. the last family ( spouse's first cousin) had to rent a condo for $900 a week, and left a note.. we called him and all he did was complain about the condo being dirty.. they left it cleaner than they found it... loll......
