Default Getting Spilled Milk out of carpet???

This afternoon I decided to clean out my fridge. Amoungst the various items there was an old partially used plastic carton of milk which had curdled.

I placed the garbage bag near my front door to take out in the morning as I went to work. A little while ago I was walking by that area and I noticed that there was a very wet trail by the bag. At first I though maybe my darling cat had had an accident, but then I relaized it led to the bag. I then discovered the milk had leaked OUT of the bag and onto my carpet. I looked inside the bag and saw that the lid had somehow come off.

So, at any rate, what would be the best way to not only clean up all the milk, but get the SMELL out?

Thanks all!

Keeping It Frugal,

Laura

Rubbing alcohol should work, or you can sprinkle baking soda on it. Leave it for a day or so vacuum it up and the smell should be gone.
