Default What's your luxury?

...what I mean is, if you could choose 1 thing - say as a Birthday gift- and money was no object, what would you ask for?? - it has to be something tangible, though, no "love from my family" or things like that, ok? (I mean I know those are the real valuable gifts, but I'm curious as to what MATERIAL things people crave...)...Oh, and no "needs" either!! (I NEED a new car...but, no, that wouldn't be my dream gift...)

It may sound silly, but, my luxury would be: parfume!!!...I just loooove parfume!! ...I used to have a whole collection, and, everytime Gyenchy launched a new one, I just HAD to buy it!...(I love their fragrances, and they "agree" with my body chemistry, meaning they last for hours and the smell is pleasant!, not so with Dior, which tend to have a citrus note in them that makes me smell like I put on bathroom disinfectant! ...and Calvin Klein's just disappear in about 5 minutes from my skin!!)

My luxury would be a massage. I haven't had one at a spa in like 5 or 6 years. I haven't been able to justify it, even though I've been doing well at saving up money. I guess I have the money for it right now, but I keep saying "no, I should save my money" or "no, there's other things I could buy with that money."

My luxury is eating out. I like that "together" time with my husband.

Mine would be paying for a baby sitter. DH and I only go out for lunch while the kids are at school. If we venture out on a weekend we take them with us.

Mine would be to take my grandbabies to Disneyland for the first time....and have all my kids there too...as an added bonus, I would arrange for my parents to join us- which would mean finding a dialysis center nearby for my mom....I know my mom and dad would give anything to see GS (23 months) ride "Its a small world" They bought him a little windup toy that plays this song...and he loves it.

My second choice...an alaskan cruise...DH and I didn't get a honeymoon- we got married one night and he shipped to Kuwait the next day (Desert Storm)....oh the dreams....well, someday!!!

I don't think I could narrow it down to just one thing if anything. Do I even make any sense? *L* When one lives on pants buttons the simplest things to others can seem luxurious in my world.

If I had the dough I'd love to take a tour of Europe & vacation / move to New Zealand.

tgavin - Babysitter good idea!

I'd like a trip to South America and Antarctica--two places I've never been.

If it has to be something material, I'd like two solid gold bangles made out of 916 (22K) gold. I might never wear them, but I could give them to my daughters someday. I've never cared for diamonds or precious gems, but I love gold.
