I have been doing surveys for surveyspot for a while now and I agree with one poster about qualifying for more surveys because of a health problem. I have noticed that when they print out the winners that the names are the same. I have a couple of relatives in certain areas and I saw the same name from that city. I wrote a letter to them saying that I didn't think that the winners list was a newer one.
Like another poster, I use one email account just for the surveys. I also use it for freebies. I know that the spam comes from the surveys. I think that Pinecone is legitimate. I will probably drop a couple of them soon. Has anyone heard about sweepsland? Same think you get points. |

Although I have used some of the points and crud from e-rewards, I hate that you can only use each merchant once per year. Lots of their rewards are from merchants I'd never use--ebags and Omaha Steaks which always demands a purchase.
I'm very tempted to quit all the surveys that don't offer cash. Especially the ones with the realllllllllly long screening questionaires. I did win $100 in a random drawing from nfo about 5 years ago. But still-- I think I'd be better off doing something more productive for the time and aggravation of some of them |

Some of the screenings are as long as paid surveys. In my opinion, they are surveys because they just ask too many questions. You're right about choosing and trimming down to be able to get control over your time. I think that surveyspot sends out too many.

herm thanks for the follow up. Yeah, I believe you could make the kind of money you are if you are with lots of sites, but the problem is do you really trust them and is there really that many survey's offered. Survey spot is very cheap, one survey took 20-30 minutes, paid $2. And now I can't even access the site.. Very odd. They even have no record of my email address in their system now... Racked up 1000 chances to win too....
Sweeps, indeed, after reading here and also the survey police site, I have some worries about what they are doing with my personal information. I guess nothing is safe anymore.... I don't know... |

Oops didn't see the second page of responses..
I have also set up an email address specifically just for surveys and the like so I can keep track of everything neatly. I like e-rewards as I can pass them to my frequent flyer clubs, although it does not amount to make, if I had to buy the points it would be more expensive. So I think it is worth it. It took me 3 years to reach $100 on that site, so it is well earned. I dont' get that many opportuntieis from them actually and most of them I don't qualify for anyway... I agree that some paid surveys take too much time to screen you and then tell you, oh, sorry, you don't qualify, thanks for wasting your 20 minutes helping us know that. I think they should still have to give you something. But there are too many people out there that dont care about that so it will never change... |

Is it me or are the rewards at e-Rewards absolutely dismal? Who cares about getting a discount for an overpriced bag at eBags? I thought I was doing good by earning $50 in "rewards", so much for that.

Another complaint... these survey companies keep doing these "pre-surveys" where they ask you a lot of questions for no pay. Or they ask a ton of questions at the beginning of a survey before they tell you you don't qualify.
You folks that always qualify for surveys.. do you lie on the pre-quals? Do you say you have asthma, Crohn's disease, emphesyma, diarrhea, constipation, erectile dysfunction, premature baldness, shingles, heart disease, eczema and persistent cough all at the same time? |

I complete a ton of surveys every month, but I also do not qualify for a ton of other surveys. I never lie. I think the fact that I am a mom and do all the house hold shopping gives me an edge. There are tons of surveys out there about food products, cleaning products etc. The more surveys you attempt, the more you will qualify for. It is a "part time" job for me, so I attempt every survey that comes my way. ![]() |

I got most of my money from them, I must be their demographic. |

When I first started with Pinecone, it was a slow process. Now, they are more frequent. I trust them more than other sites. They seem to really ask survey questions.
I've noticed that as soon as I answer certain types of questions, that I start getting emails and snail mail from companies that I have never received mail from before. I would place a wager that they are selling the information to companies. I'm speaking mostly of other survey companies not the afore one mentioned. I'm also becoming very wary and concerned of where that information is going. I'm with survey spot but am not that happy with them either. Like the poster says, the prequalification surveys are entirely too long. I have answered surveys that weren't nearly as long and have been paid for them. |
