Default Quick refund on tax

Believe it or not. I mailed my state taxes on Wednesday. Got my refund back on Saturday. I'm talking snail mail here--the old fashioned way. Meanwhile, a gal I work with did the rapid refund thing on Tues, and still has not gotten hers back...
Wish my federal would be that quick.....

i debated on doing my federal on line. But, turbo tax told me it was $70 or $80 something to do it.(I was too cheap) and I figured, that was like not getting my state refund back (since it was about the same amount) so I didn't. Plus, I figured I was making it without the refund, so waiting a few more weeks wouldn't kill me. I am getting back a nice fat federal refund (mainly due to medical expenses) and a little state one. I can't decided what to do with my federal refund. I am debating between putting it into my ING, paying it toward my house (which I am selling), putting it in my mutual fund account, or my savings account. Once I sell my house, I will not be buying another, so it will just bring up the amount of money I will get back when this one closes.

We mailed our Federal and State on 1/19/06 and received our Federal on 2/3/06.

New York State takes 10 years to get your refund! (Joking....but it seems like it does). Each year we have to wait 5-6 weeks on our State refund.

I got my refund today. Only took a week. I put some money on my credit card, some money into my savings and kept $50 out for a takeout dinner.

I mailed mine out today. It can't get here soon enough. I'll put 1/3 to bills 1/3 to house projects, and 1/3 for a weekend trip to AC at the end of April. I won a free hotel room for 2 nights so I'll just need money for food/entertainment.
