She is the problem, she won't give anything up.

she is the problem, but the husband is also a part of the problem because he tolerated it. if you are married, don't dump all the responsibility on your spouse. sit down together. she did forge his name, so i say send her behind to jail, at least she won't be able to spend any more.

She said that they are on the verge of getting a divorce. I would not stay married to her for one more minute. I could never marry again unless I could handle the money in the family.

I would have her locked up and divorced her, before she could finish getting her hair done. She's a prime example of why most men don't trust women in the finance department, she's a disgrace! Her husband is stupid too though, he keeps her around, even knowing of their situation. I guess they were made for each other.

Seems like she controls him. She found her a weak man to control, and its showing now.

Well I am anti divorce (meaning don't bail just cause one person is having trouble), but that couple really does need to look at their definition of 'perfect'!
Anyway it is workable if she is willing, I think a trip to africa might help, show her a home with no running water, might help her shush up about weekly hair! |
|
|||
|
She doesn't have to go to Africa to see that, right here in these United States are people in poverty, living in houses with dirt floors. Heck what happened in New Orleans should be a reality check for her, but since it isn't...
Now I'm not a proponent of Divorce either, but he's suffered enough at her hand, but until HE realizes that, and grows a backbone to stand up to her, he won't divorce her and it won't get better. |

OH my goodness!!!!!!!!!! That Lisa is CRAZY!!! Oh my gosh, I'm in SHOCK. I swear, I have a hard time getting my hair CUT for more then $20/6months and she gets her hair DONE for 30/week!!!!!! Wow, I mist be living the poverty life...
Yeesh that lady is crazy and I'm glad that I am not married to a person like that. Thank goodness my husband is nothing like that!! ![]() |

Its not just the husband and wife who are crazy; this is a problem with a taproot. I clicked through their whole story and it turns out their families and friends are giving them a hard time for going through this. Sounds like the woman has serious control/fear issues. No hair had better be out of place, and "you'd better look rich, or else."
The more I look at it and think about it - pathological spending addictions = drug addiction. If you want to kick either, you've got to give up your past. |

Cut her hair appoints down to half!!?? For goodness sakes that would be $3500!! If they are serious about getting out of debt why don't she find a beauty school that will cut her hair for practically nothing! I pay $7.00 when I get my hair cut at a beauty school. This women needs to get a reality to check! They need me in there to tell her what to do. My goodness this woman really has a problem about impressing other people. Unfortunately, in trying to impress others she is hurting her marriage which definetly is not worth it. My ex sister-in-law is the same way! She is the sweetest person you could ever meet, but always has to buy brand names. Forget that! I want to retire one day and have a life instead of paying off credit card bills for the rest of my life.

The "keep up with the Jones'" mentality is the detriminent of a lot of people. The faster people can come to terms with the fact that Mr. and Mrs. Jones don't care what you have, the better off everybody will be.

I don't understand where they got that $7000 figure for her hair. At $30 per week, that totals only $1560/year. Even if she has a relaxer perm and assuming she pays $75 every 6 weeks to get her relaxer retouched in addition to the $30 weekly visits, that's still only $2210 per year. If she's paying $125 for her relaxer retouches, that's still only $2643.75 per year. Where is she getting her hair done that's costing her $7000/year??? Something's not adding up.
I just thought about something...maybe she has a high-end weave job. You have to go get those weaves tightened every 6 to 8 weeks...I imagine that can get expensive, especially if she's using 100% human hair and her beautician is charging high prices to maintain it. |

I agree with you Tomkat, something else must be getting done to her hair to cost that much. You know the older you get, the more you realize that most people don't care what you look like, they have their own lives to live.
I go to parties where the woman have spent a fortune on themselves, their clothes, their hair, make up. I look like a bag lady compared to them. Sometimes I feel a little uncomfortable around them, but I am who I am. I have never lived the rich pampered lifestyle. |
|

I think you have to double any amount you come up with. She was getting her daughter's hair done.
But even with high end weave, I don't think it would come to 7000.00 I would say throw in maintenance products, but she doesn't look like she maintains anything at home during the week. I agree with you, its not coming up to 7K a year. Now I get my hair done every week, simply because I'm just lazy in this regard, but then again, I'm not hiding bills, throwing them away, lying to my (non-existent) spouse and all the other bull this woman is doing. She seems to be very narcissistic which is another problem. You're right who cares how you look, but you do care about how you feel. To me, I care that my hair looks nice, I don't do it for anyone else EXCEPT me, and its the price I'm willing to pay, again not the detriment of anything else. Sharon |

I'm guessing she's also getting: facials, waxing, manicures & pedicures. Someone that high maintainance does not stop at hair. ![]() |

I used to get my nails done every 2 weeks. Acrylics. I think I paid $18 each time. If they had to redo all nails it was $25. Once in a while I would have a pedicure.
Gave it all up when my dog had to go on arthritis meds. Funny, I gave it up for the dog and she can't give it up to save her family???? |

My fiance and I make about the same income as that couple, and I couldn't imagine living that lifestyle. We think of it as a treat to eat out once a week, much less every night. I'm not a parent, but I couldn't imagine being that self-indulgent if I did have children.
