Can you use a coupon on "free after rebate" items? How does this affect the rebate? I am wondering specifically regarding Walgreens rebates....

I've never had trouble using coupons for Free after Rebate items. In fact, I feel like i've hit the jackpot when that happens!! I don't think it affects the rebate in any way, but in any case, its still free!

I've done this a few times. On most deal sites, you'll see this kind of offer listed as a negative price. In other words, you're getting paid to buy the item.

The deal gets even better if you use a cash-back credit card to buy the item.
