I think he'll make it. Even those that don't like him don't think Cheney is much of an alternative. ~

I don't think he has a penchant for doing strange things with cigars and chubby interns, so I would say "no" to answer your question. I think he will finish his term.
I wonder how soon they'll start printing the Cheney/Bush '08 bumperstickers when Jeb runs for VP with his running mate "in the spirit of bipartisanship, I'll invite any Democratic Presidential candidate on a hunting trip" Cheney . |

I don't think he'll be impeached, but also keep in mind that impeachment doesn't necessarly end a term.

Misleading a country into war isn't a serious enough offense for impeachment. But having an affair with an intern -- that's a different story.

LOL, advocate (DA? Devils? - what do you prefer?).
And 34, you're right, Clinton was impeached and finished his term. The only chance bush will be impeached is if the democrats take control of congress this fall. But don't hold your breath. They apparently have no balls at all - so even if they take control, most likely nothing will happen. |

I think I kept mine fairly neutral (except for the no balls comment, but even that seems like it could come from either side).
I tried to keep it neutral (although my politics are probably painfully obvious) because I know that this is not a political forum and I know I got really upset when an extreme political view was posted on an unrelated yahoo group. I do think that politics does have some play in this site, though. We have a president who is urging people to spend to stimulate the economy - when he should know that people are spending themselves into bankruptcy. |

cercis, you can call me DA. It makes me sound important.

I'm afraid he will be able to finish his term w/out impeachment. I can't wait til he's out of office personally & Cheney I have to agree isn't a better alternative either! I've got a few senators in my mind that would make some great canadates for the election in 08.
I think Clintons impeachement was just another Washinton scandal, that was more a personal matter than of his political competency. I agree w/ Cercis & DA on what you have basically said in your posts. |

Man! My heart started pounding when I read the title of the thread!
It would be great if it were to happen, but I'm not going to hold my breath. In fact, the way he keeps pissing everybody off is only going to make it that much more palatable for Americans to vote a certain gal into office. The time is coming! ![]() |

He'll finish his term... but at what cost?

It's funny how all you people who are concerned about saving and personal finance seem to support the party of high taxes.
