Default What technology saves you the most money?

What technology do you think saves you the most money? I think the Internet has saved me thousands of dollars although I've also paid a lot for access over the years. Digital cameras save me a ton on film. What technologies save you money?

While it's not totally a technology, but I'd say Microsoft Money financial software. I've been handling my finances through Microsoft Money for 11 years now.

I can get a month-to-month picture of where my money is going, how much I save over time, etc. It's really interesting to see how your spending habits change from year to year as well. I noticed when I was younger I spent a LOT more money on going out.

Money is able to download from most all credit card companies and banks nowadays making month-end bill payments and balancing out the check book very easy.

I'd agree with Digital Camera - and the internet. I had internet free (well, included in costs of tuition) for 4 years, then I split it 3 ways with roommates in my apartment last year, and it's included with my apartment rent this year-- but I have been able to do a lot of price comparison from online, or buy from sites that I know are cheaper than real stores, for all kinds of things: from things like computer & digital camera peripherals... to car insurance...to yarn.

The digital camera has saved me from spending $7 a roll on maybe 12/24 good pictures. Not to mention it saves space to not have all those prints lying around-- I save all my digital pictures to CDs and the good ones I have printed out and put in albums.

Definitely the internet. I am able to pay bills, buy treasuries, trade and research stocks, buy stuff at a discount all at the convenience at home.

Digital cameral here too. Course I can only count the cost of the film, not exposure, I come from a family that never develops film!

the net is nice, I put said digital pictures up for the family, but I would just not share if I didn't have it, os it isn't exactly saving money.

Everything to do with computers have saved me alot of money. This is because my computer can do all of my work at a quicker pace than what it would take if I didn't have a computer.

The internet for learning things, where I would have to buy a book if I didn't have the Internet.

I would say the internet has lost me a little money!! I tend to shop online for things i probably wouldn't have bought....it evens out b/c there are good investment opportunities as well.

Digital cameras?? haven't saved much. i have a 10x optical zoom camera and use it often, but the photos cost quite a bit to print. $10-20 photo paper, $50 ink package for my printer at least every other month or so.

I am an illustrator, by far the best investment i made was purchasing my digital drawing tablet. I love to work digitally. I got a job offer to illustrate a book, which b/c of my tablet is now in the final process of being published. -- i guess i should add my mac with 1Gb ram helped load/save and complete my work faster, which saved me time and therefore money

The digital camera has saved me a lot of money. I love to take a ton of pictures.
The library saves me money as I'm not out buying all these books that I want to read.
My freebie sites have saved me a lot of money.
This site here has saved me money as I've actually learned to put my money away and "save" it
The internet has saved me money as I can compare prices before I go out and buy something.
