How can I stop emails from this site??
Every time I post something, I get an e mail from this site telling me about it. How can I get this stopped. I have tried sending a message but it keeps coming back, saying delivery failure. I am brand new to computers, but I really don't want all this e mail.

Re: How can I stop emails from this site??
1. Click on "My Control Panel"
2. Click on "Edit Options"
3. Where it says "Default Thread Subscription Mode", change to "Do not subscribe"
4. Scroll down and click on "Save Changes"
You'll find several other options on that page you can change as well.

Re: How can I stop emails from this site??
Perhaps try "No email notification" instead of "Do not subscribe". You may still be getting emails from previously subscribed topics.
If that still doesn't work, Jeffrey (the administrator) may need to help.

I am having this same problem. Every time I reply to a post it automatically subscribes to it. I even changed my options to "no email notification" and still I keep getting emails every time someone posts to a thread I have been on.
I was forced to add it to my junk mail because I'm getting so many of them, but then I have to go through and fish out the newsletter.
HELP!

I, too, am having the same problem as Ima, and i doublechecked all those things in my control panel. i have a message in to jeffrey; best way to reach him is to click on one of his budget articles on home page, then click on his name in the message.

Re: How can I stop emails from this site??
Wow sounds like a lot of you are having subscription problems. Its perfectly fine to post questions like this on the forums, but please know you can always email Jeffrey and I at info@savingadvice.com and we usually respond in no longer than a day.
Anyways, I went through each one of your accounts (Ima saver, CHigh95, Fern) and found all were set to 'Do not subscribe' and have no current subscriptions, except for CHigh95. Chigh95 you were set to 'Subscribe without notification' meaning every thread you posted in would subscribe you to it but would not email you. I have, however changed that to 'Do not subscribe'.
For Ima saver and Fern, if you continue getting these emails, please forward them to us at info@savingadvice.com each time you get one. I don't know what email services you use, but all of them should have a 'Forward' or 'Fwd' link/button somewhere in the email message that you can click and then you just need to enter our email address.

Re: How can I stop emails from this site??
Fern, your all fixed! It looks like you did have 2 forum accounts, and one of them was set to 'subscribe' status. So i turned that off. You shouldn't get anymore.
