Financial success to me is either not having to worry about if you'll have the money to cover a bill or buy a meal. Financial sucess is not having debt's other than the usually costs of living (electric, phone, food, etc.). To go a step further My financial dream would be to be able to have all of the above while working part time doing something I want to do rather than I have to do for my family to eat!!!

Money doesn't dictate any of my day to day actions.

that's a good statement to agree with. But it will take a little bit to get to that step. Everyone always feels a bit safer when they have a next egg for a time when something bad might happen.
But when you get to the point that you don't have to count pennies in your life, I think that you are doing well financially. These days I really do count my pennies, I'm hoping for the day when I don't have to worry about that!

For me financial success means being able to support my family without depending on employment...that would include a paid off mortgage, no debt, and enough money in the bank that we could live off the interest if necessary!

I think financial success is probably different for each person. It's kinda like goals you have in life. Some people are satisfied with much less than others. For me personally it would be similar to Robex...However, I'd have to keep working because it would keep me from spending my money!
