What's your luxury?
...what I mean is, if you could choose 1 thing - say as a Birthday gift- and money was no object, what would you ask for?? - it has to be something tangible, though, no "love from my family" or things like that, ok? (I mean I know those are the real valuable gifts, but I'm curious as to what MATERIAL things people crave...)...Oh, and no "needs" either!! (I NEED a new car...but, no, that wouldn't be my dream gift...)
It may sound silly, but, my luxury would be: parfume!!!...I just loooove parfume!! ...I used to have a whole collection, and, everytime Gyenchy launched a new one, I just HAD to buy it!...(I love their fragrances, and they "agree" with my body chemistry, meaning they last for hours and the smell is pleasant!, not so with Dior, which tend to have a citrus note in them that makes me smell like I put on bathroom disinfectant! ...and Calvin Klein's just disappear in about 5 minutes from my skin!!)

Re: What's your luxury?
I'm with Diva Jen...I get a gift certificate for a one-hour massage for Mother's Day, Birthday and Christmas. And if we have spare money and feel like splurging, it's first on the list...

Re: What's your luxury?
I would love to own a race horse, but what would I call it???
I spend alot of time thinking about this so I guess if money was no problem that is what I would buy.
Hopefully it would win prize money so I could buy more horses

Re: What's your luxury?
Before kids it was vacations...we would take off for a long one once a year, usually a cruise. Now with a toddler and infant, we're not going anywhere. So I guess it would be going out to a really nice restaurant and getting the works - appetizer, dessert, etc. Or a massage - I really like that idea!

Re: What's your luxury?
Plane Tickets!!!! I would love to fly often to Montana to see my family more often. Tickets to fly there is more expensive than for me to fly to Hawaii or any other main cities in the U.S.

Re: What's your luxury?
I would love to have private dance lessons. When I was in elementary school I took ballet for five years. I would love to take ballet again (privately) as well as learn some other types of dances - mainly for the exercise, but also just for the fun of it!

Re: What's your luxury?
Travel. Travel travel travel. I want to go back to Southeast Asia, New Zealand, etc. Have never been to Scandinavia. REALLY want to go to South America. Would like to see Alaska.
Not to mention all the places my immediate family lives that I never get to visit: brother in Germany, mother in Kaui, etc. Would like to go there waaaay more often.
Oh, and I collect miniature books, under 3 inches. Before I had the kid I treated myself to a couple of really wonderful old ones, but they get really expensive really fast.

To be thoroughly Pampered...and waited on...so I can worry about more important stuff than dishes and cooking and enjoy meals that are home cooked just not by me!

Re: What's your luxury?
I love massages, facials, pedicures...all that girlie stuff. Usually Dh gets me a gift certificate to the spa for Christmas and I go with my best friend, sit in the steam room, enjoy our treatment, and then go out for lunch...it's a blissful day!
If money was no object, anyone who reads my journal knows, I would love to have a maid!!!

Re: What's your luxury?
When I first saw the title I was thinking 'hot shower' I take a HOT (and I really mean HOT) every chance I get (which as a new mother of young kids that doesn't actually mean as often as I would like!) Not to much money, but I feel pampered (almost) every night.
But if I were really to spend all the money I wanted, I would get a BIG house, room for every kid, classroom, BIG kitchen, dining room, maybe a pool house, stable, oh I could so spend a years football salary on a house .
So from one extream of cost to another.
