Chocolate in the freezer? Are you crazy! That wouldn't make it thru one craving or PMS cycle! (tecnically speaking I always thought chocolate couldn't go bad, though I don't actually know)

I think that chocolate in the freezer would be groovy, my husband and I have done it.
but mind you that like PrincessPerky, I don't think that it lasted all that long in the freezer.

I also tend to suffer from PMS and I FIRMLY belive that chocolate replenishes the blood system.

er...I've never known any chocolate that lasted more than a week in MY freezer! LOL!...no, being serious now, since my cousin buys this sort of thing for re-sale, I can tell you that she's gotten Xmas chocolates as late as October of the next year (so, say 10 months) in perfect yummilisious condition! (kept in the cold room at the place where she bought them)....

Does chocolate get freezer burn? I remember sending a bunch of chocolate by mail from Europe to my house in the US and when it arrived, it wasn't the same. I assumed it has to do with the high altitude and coldness up there. Maybe I'm completely wrong. Anyone know?

It think the plane is a bit higher up than your freezer (and there is a reason why hersheys mostly emplys drivers instead of planes)

I don't think your chocolate got refrigerated on the plane...so it was probably all the differences in temperature that it suffered that altered it (terminal, storage, tarmac, plane, tarmac, storage, terminal)

I've received chocolate that was mailed over seas and it tastes the same, but looks bad. It just had some discoloration.
