Default Great Depression Cooking with Clara

Clara is a 93-year-old great grandmother and child of The Depression.

She's serving up her "Poorman's Meal" in this video:

You can find her other meals under Related Videos.

hahaha...i JUST discovered her last night through a post on the Hillbilly Housewife's blog, so it's funny to see it here too. I watched 3 of her vids too...she seems so sweet.

I even cooked her "peas and pasta" meal for lunch today. It turned out awesome and my husband and I were fighting over who got the last bite from the pot.

The videos were fun to watch, and I'd like to try some of those recipes. I enjoyed hearing her stories and seeing her old photographs too.

I'm so glad you posted this. I could watch Clara all day long. She reminds me of my Great Grandma who passed away at age 93 a couple years ago. Thanks.
