Default For sounderella, a nice and easy slow cooker dip recipe

Ooops, I didn't put this with recipes. I didn't see that spot! Sorry.

This can be done on the stovetop but I prefer the slow cooker to make this very easy dip.

1 lb bulk hot sausage (I use homemade turkey sausage and make it pretty spicy for this)
2 8 oz packages cream cheese (bought on sale of course)

Brown the sausage in a skillet. If using turkey sausage, add a little olive oil while browning. When the sausage is cooked, put it in a slow cooker (put in the grease or oil, too) and add the cream cheese. Cook on low until cheese melts, stirring once or twice.

We eat this with fresh vegetables or tortilla chips and love it. A lot of people add a can of Rotel tomatoes to it and that's good, also but we like it plain or with a can of green chilis, liquid and all, added. Yum!
