Default How about some Round Steak Recipies?

I rarely if ever cook round steak. Good sale today so I bought it. Should I bake or cook in a skillet? Any easy recipies? I did buy some red cooking wine and thought that might give a little more flavor.

It doesn't get much easier than this:

Pesto Beef with Grape Tomatoes and Mozzarella

1 TBS olive oil
2 tsp dry minced onions
1/2 cup prepared pesto sauce
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 # round steak (cut into ~ 6 pices)
1-2 pints grape tomatoes (depending on your preference)
Mozarella

1. Grease slow cooker with Olive oil. Add onion, pesto, pepper, stir to combine
2. Add steak. Turn steak with tongs to cover in sauce; add tomatoes
3. Cover and cook on slow cookers "Low" setting for 6 hours. Top each sewrving with mozzarella adn tomato mixture

Sounds good. I couldn't really find any recipies so I made up my own. I browned it with garlic, salt, pepper and some red cooking wine. Tossed in the crockpot with onions, carrots, beef broth and fresh mushrooms. It is smelling pretty good now.

This is similar to the way we do ours.

LOL! We have a beef butchered every year(actually, we get it through batering our land to a local cattle farmer). DH was JUST telling me this afternoon that we have a ton of round steak in the freezer than needs to be used. I was wondering about some recipes too. Great minds think a like I guess!

I think I overcooked it in the crockpot. Came out pretty tough. Edible but not memorable! I think I will try to bake it or do it in the skillet next time.
