Has anyone ordered this ebook? I get the Budget Stretcher ezine and there was an ad for her ebook. She says "An Average Family Of Four Can Save $180 to $240 a Month On Groceries Just By Following A Simple Buying Strategy!"
The ebook is $19 and I was thinking of ordering it, but wanted to see if anyone else had it already and thought it was worth it. I'm desperately trying to do some cutting back of expenses so that we can do some major repairs on our house in the spring. Would love to hear from anyone who's read or used her book. |

I have purchased several of these and have not been thrilled with them (although not the particular one you mentioned). You can find the same information in almost any save on grocery shopping book that you can check out from the library.
You probably have all the information you need if yuo have been visiting any of the frugal sites out there. The difficult part is making it into a plan so that yuo can save the money. That is where the books may be of a little help, but again, a library book for free will do the same thing. Personally, I was able to reduce my grocery bill by 30% without trying very hard through the help of cutouthunger.org I'm sure I could do even more if I put some effort into it. I would start there before purchasing an ebook. |

I made my own price book. Unfortunatly the book I chose is rather big so I don't always take it with me. Another habit I need to get into.
Categories are Store Date Price Amount Price/Item (like a 398 ML can is how much per ML? or oz as it may be depending on where you live). One item per page ie ground beef, apples, cheese. And I seperated the book into categories: meat, milk etc. Using tape for dividers so I can easily find something (well not easily but it's easier). Hope that helps. |

I have no idea! I've never purchased a book like this and when I saw the ad and read what it said, I figured if it really does help me save money, then it's worth the $19. However, now that I've done some more reading on it, I may not purchase it. I've found quite a bit of information about using price books like asrai suggested. That's why I posted here to see if anyone else had purchased it and thought it was worth it.

I ordered this e-book a couple years ago, it has a few useful bits of info but nothing that you couldn't find out on your own. For me, it was not worth the money.
