I thought some of you could surely make use of this. I just read in a post in The New York Times yesterday that Google Maps is now offering to allow businesses to upload coupons with their Google Maps listing for free in an effort to get more local and small businesses to get listed on Google Maps.
The reason this is good for us as consumers is because the next time you use Google Maps to get directions to a local restaurant, or oil change, whatever the case may be, not only will you get directions, but a coupon you can print and take with you for a discount you probably wouldn't have gotten otherwise.
To me, this would be worth checking on even if I already know the directions to a local business just to see if they have a coupon...HAHA! Yeah, I'm "THAT" frugal.
