I often use frozen bannas as a healthy substitute for ice cream! Still a tad bit frozen with a little of the toppings...their great!

I have often thought about the fact that we don't have much ahead in case of a pandemic. I am in the process of moving so right now isn't the time but maybe after the move it is time to consider stocking up a bit. I can't see a year but maybe a couple months.

Stocking up isn't only for Pandemics, although that's a great idea. I learned to stock up when my children were young and my husband's income was a lot less than it is now. Those extra food stuffs really got us by when money was short. We also have to stock up because of hurricanes. Also, it's a good idea to stock for when you're unable to cook for whatever reason or you can't leave the house because you have the flu. I also like keeping a few meals frozen so that I can thaw them out when I need. I also flash-freeze green peppers because it doesn't matter if they're not crunchy when you're cooking with them. I freeze fresh bread and wrap it a couple of times. It comes out great.

All you have to do is buy a few things each week and better yet if you see them on sale. I date my cans and rotate them.
