Default Organic Milk

What is your opinion on this? Is organic milk just about the food, or is the way the cows are treated matter?

Default Re: Organic Milk

It doesn't have to do with treatment so much as it does the diet and environment. Cows that graze on land (to be truly organic, land that has not been contaminated with pesticides) eating grass clearly produce richer, better tasting milk than cows that are fed grains, organic or not. Ultimately, the most important thing to me, however, is whether or not the cows are injected with hormones and massive doses of antibiotics (required when the cows are kept confined in conventional corporate farming.)

For the record, due to financial reasons at the present time, I do not buy organic milk. However, I do recognize that it is clearly the better alternative.
