Buy in bulk and freeze. Simple.
We buy the massive 5-10 pounds of beef and cut it up into 1/2 pound chunks and then freeze. Lasts for weeks. Great for sauces, etc. Also, most recipes can make due with 1/2 pound of meat even when they ask for 1 pound. :-) |

I buy in bulk and freeze too - but I think my family would revolt if I only put a half pound of meat in a recipe instead of a pound! They're a bunch of carnivores!

My mother used to be able to stretch meat out like nobodys business! I think our meatloaf was darn near helf breadcrumbs!

Yeah, sneak it out, DH thinks a full pound of meat in a spaghetti sauce is odd looking...and trust me he is a carnivour!
