Default $500K In Drug Money Anyone Can Claim

The Louisiana State Police have almost $500,000 that the owner can claim. As long as they do it before the end of the month.

The St. Tammany Parish district attorney's office and State Police recently published public notice of the pending forfeiture of $498,665 seized during an Oct. 14 traffic stop in the Slidell area. Police believe the cash is drug money.

Well I want to know who would be dumb enough to claim that? Troopers in my area (PA) pulled over a Canadian truck driver a few months back and a drug sniffing dog detected traces of drugs in the trailer although none were found onboard. The driver was found with $1,000,000 in cash on him. The troopers arrested the driver and impounded the truck which will be auctioned off and all the money goes into a general fund for the state police. Im assuming the Canadian driver will be deported. I don't think I would claim that drug money because im sure whoever does can count on a long stint in prison, but im sure some loser will try to claim it.

Clever lawmakers! I'm sure some idiot will try to claim it, just like the bozo who tried to cash a three billion dollar check at a Texas bank.
