Default Coupon strategies

My wife and I use coupons religiously and have saved a lot of money on them. But sometimes it seems we may be expending too much energy to squeeze out just an extra quarter or two.

Do you folks have any strategies on efficiently finding/organizing/using coupons?

Well I am a big time couponer myself....

I susbscribe to this coupon service where I get a list each week and it tells me what coupons to use on what items that are on sale for the cheapest price...

I'm a REAL sucker for FREEBIES... honestly, that's the only reason why I coupon.
he he he

I get two papers on sundays, then I steal the coupons from the paper at work, and when I'm jonesing for some coupons I will go through the recycle bin and snatch up A LOT...

but honestly, if it wern't for *this service* I wouldn't coupon, it would just be too hard to try and figure out what when to use my coupon to get the bestest deal.

Unfortunately there is no easy way. I would say that couponing takes a fair amount of my time. but it is so worth it. It is faster if you don't let it get behind. but sometimes even I do! I use a binder and that makes it easy. I glance over the sunday ads but that is about it. I do check coupon boards for others that have a sale in my area.

1. Organize the coupones by expiration date, so you don't lose out by not paying attention.
2. If you know that certain items in the grocery store periodically go on sale, hold onto any additional coupons you have and don't use it (as long as it doesn't expire) until there's a store sale. Then you get a double discount.
3. check out online coupon sources like smartsource.com
