Can you estimate what percentage of all shopping you do online?
Or how much money you spend online, and on what? |

I'd say I do 60% online and 40% in stores. I buy pretty much all of my clothes in the store, because sizes vary, I'm not sure if it will look good on, etc., so I'd rather have it in my hand. Pretty much everything else is online. And when it comes to Christmas, I'd say it's more like 90% online, because I try not to step foot in the stores after November 15.

I buy almost all my electronics online. I have bought a computer, digital camera, refrigerator, tv,stereo, DVD player, a phone online. I would not be able to give a percentage. I don't buy groceries online, it is cheaper to go to the store. I buy my clothes in store because I want the right size.

We buy most of xmas online. Amazon (and other sites) offer free shipping and they come in plain brown boxes and I can say that they are car parts for Dad when they come and the kids don't question it!!

Actually, you can buy groceries online. Stop N Shop charges a pretty reasonable delivery fee, especially if you buy in quantity.
i once bought a queen sized mattress online, but UPS "lost" it in transit and i ordered elsewhere, not online. Now how you do "Lose" a mattress?? |

I don't do to much online, I like to see and touch what I am getting. But I do ask my mother to do some for me, hard to find stuff for DH, I get her to hunt it up and stuff. She like Ebay and all that.

I do 80 to 90% of my shopping on line. I've done the research and price comparisons and have a few sites that I visit regularly; mainly for vitamins and health and beauty. But only b/c the price is better than local options - even with the shipping included. Then I keep a running list of things needed as we run out of them. That way I can place one big order and usually save on shipping. I frequent the sites that have a flat shipping rate.
Clothes - I tried doing on-line, but need to try them on and feel the quality. I seemed to be spening more in return postage than I would save with the online prices. If I find a great deal and we have one of the stores in our area, I will go try things on and then order them on-line if the price is better. Hard to find items - things that we would have to drive for at least an hour to purchase in a near by, larger city are easier to buy on-line. Especially with the cost of gas these days!! Then, again, I do the price comparison and make sure we are gettinga good deal. |

Actually not that much for me. Amazon only. I don't know why, except that I have really just cut back on shopping period, so I don't shop online or offline.

Rarely - usually only at Christmas time (free shipping!). That's probably because I rarely buy new items. Almost all my clothes are purchased at garage sales or thrift stores. When I have a major purchase planned, I do my research online. For my video camera, it turns out I saved about $100 buying online instead of at the local mall.
I do buy some books and kids items off E-bay a few times a year. I have looked at new toys, books, etc. but it seems to never be a better deal than in the store due to shipping. |

I buy airline tickets (daughter in college 1,000 miles away) 2-4 times a year online; they generally cost around $250 each. I purchase used books on line from half.com; that amount varies depending on how many used book store gift certs I get for my birthday and other holidays. I occasionally purchase a few gifts online - under $500/year total. That's about it.

Electronics, books and a few other items I usually buy online. I keep my eye on a few sites waiting for a steal of a deal.
My biggest online purchase was a digital camera for $350 (normally $600). I tried buying food online, but it didn't work for me. Selection is limited, prices aren't good, and delivery options are usually less than ideal. |

I don't do a lot of shopping period. I don't buy groceries online, preferring to pick food out myself and I actually enjoy the shopping experience. I also do not buy many clothes online although I have a few. I don't buy clothing often...a few items a year. We buy our electronics and large appliances in stores...usually Staples and Sears, but these are few and far, far between purchases! I do research these large purchases online before going to the store. We rarely buy airline tickets as in the past we have accumulated frequent flyer miles and use them. That may change in the future as we don't use these CCs much and it will take a long time to build them up again.
What I HAVE/DO buy online are used books, some skincare products, very occasionally small household or kitchen items including small appliances, and occasionally software. I usually buy from amazon.com, half.com or ebay. At Christmas time I buy gifts online for my children and grandchildren who are not able to come home for the holiday. Sometimes these are just GCs but I usually get some clothing and/or toys for the grandchildren. I like shopping online as I feel I can take my time and sometimes get better deals, but mainly it's just easier. I enjoy it more than tramping around a mall all day. Sometimes though I will think I am getting a great deal only to be in a store and see the same thing on sale much cheaper! I hate that! |

I do about 80% of my shopping online. My favorite stores are Amazon.com for the huge selection and Overstock.com for closeout bargains and really cheap shipping. I also love Shoebuy.com and Zappos.com for shoes - shipping is free and if the size isn't right, return shipping is free too.

Probably 70%. Non-grocery.
We get soccer stuff, other sports stuff, books, CDs, shoes, clothing; lots of things we can't find in stores. My son is into making model airplanes (he's 17) and the older and more advanced he gets it's impossible to find what he wants offline. I shop through reward programs, use online coupons and free shipping as much as possible. |

I don't shop for food online, but about 80% of everything else. I use www.timespoints.com as a gateway (you could choose a number of affinity programs) and so there is a rebate on everything. I detest shopping in person, even for clothes.
