I have Nate looking into it. Make sure it isn't being blocked by a spam filter or ending up in your spam box. If you do have a filter, the emails are coming from info@savingadvice.com

Hmmmm...I'm not sure what is going on. Nate has looked but hasn't been able to find anything wrong. We know that they are going out because I have a second email address and they have been arriving in my box. Check to make sure they aren't going into your spam box.

Also click on this link and make sure that you have the newsletter boxes checked that you want to receive. If you still aren't getting anything after that, let us know here again and we'll have Nate do another got through to find the problem.

The Daily Challenges I do as many as I can but being in Canada some of the challenges, I have to be creative or find the Canadian sites to do them, some don't offer the freebies, but I try and see what I can find. I work volenteer and help as many less fortunate then myself and I recieve the benifits of satisfaction of helping someone just about each day I work.

On today's challenge of bargins, I find that if you can find volenteers to come help you do what you need done, such as house, yard or for yourself, this is a bargin as you gain a friend, the work gets done, and you feel the satisfaction that you have accomplished what needed to be done.

Have fun finding as many jobs that need to be done as you can to satisfy you and your volenteer ( s ) at the same time.

Good to hear that the challenges are useful and keeping you motivated. That's probably 99% of getting your savings in order. Finding something that motivates you to do so. I'll keep writing as long as members continue to be interested

Jeffrey - these are fantastic - the daily challenges really make me think through things that I've been used to doing, but haven't really thought of the impact (leaving computer on for hours when I'm not using it, as an example). I've been forwarding this website URL on to those work colleagues of mine as well as friends who I know are "savers" as well.

I'm pleased that the challenges are helping out...and it's great that they are making you rethink some of the habits that we all seem to fall into. We appreciate you spreading the word. The more, the merrier

Click on this link and make sure that you have the newsletter boxes checked that you want to receive. If the Money Saving Challenge box is already checked, let us know here again and we'll have Nate do another got through to find the problem.

You may also want to check your spam box to make sure it hasn't accidentally been going there. If you have strong spam filters, make sure emails coming from info@savingadvice.com can get through.

The Money Saving Challenge was about bringing your own beverage when you leave the house:

While you have probably heard a million times it's less expensive to bring your lunch to work rather than purchasing it, you may not have considered the effect of purchasing drinks while away from home. If you spend $1 a day, 5 days a week, you're spending over $250 a year for your drinks. This price can easily be reduced by 75% by simply purchasing the drink yourself and bringing it from home. Best of all, it takes little effort to do so.

I signed up for the challenges and am really enjoying them. But at first, my filter blocked them, so I took care of that. They take so little time, and often, they're ideas I just hadn't considered before.

I love the daily messages.
one way to save money at the groc. store is to NEVER go down the isles :_)
Fresh food is around the outsides:-) Fresh produce.. meats.. milk.. bread..
IF you must go down an isle.. do it quickly !! Grab the flour and sugar and get out QUICK :-)

It is in a temporary holding pattern due to some family medical issues that have taken the time I used to devote to creating the challenges away. Things are looking better and hopefully I will get those started again in the coming month (fingers crossed)

Hi there! I just joined this forum. From the comments about the past daily challenges, I'm very interested to know what these challenges were. Is there any way for me to access the previous challenges?
Thanks!

Sorry, not at the moment. The idea was that these were supposed to be done on a daily basis and not read through all at once which would likely be done if I posted them on the site. Everything is on temporary hold at the moment due to some family issues, but hopefully they will start up in the near future again. Glad to see you here and I hope that you can find a lot of useful information in the forums.
