Default Sunday

How does everyone spend their Sunday? I don't do this every week, but generally I go to church in the morning. I pack a lunch and take bread scraps and visit the local park afterward. There I can relax, each my lunch and feed the ducks. In the afternoon I spend some time doing household chores, a bit of cleaning and anything else that needs to be done. I don"t take on big projects. It is my day to relax a bit. Do you have a frugal Sunday pattern?

I relax, read, clean and play with my 2yrol nephew. I have always used this day to get my self on track for the next week.

Sunday services then a large breakfast. We usually spend the day home unless there is a family event! It truly is a day of rest for us.

Today is DS1's bday. So we opened gifts, watched a movie and later will go to his favorite place to eat (which is, thankfully, fairly inexpensive).

Most sundays we either stay home to rest or go to the beach. I'd like to add going to the zoo. The zoo is 20 minutes away, the beach 40 minutes.

We go to church, come home change, eat, and relax most of the day until around 6 p.m.. Then, we clean house, pack lunches for school on Monday, and start baths and bedtime routines. Sometimes we have family over in the afternoon or we go to their house. However, about every 5 weeks I have to work a Sunday, in which case my kids do the same routine, but at Grandma's house.

Happy birthday to Cercis' DS1!

We do not much, I try to make sure most of the important chores are caught up on the rest of the week, so besides dishes we have time to play or goof off or whatever.

We have a routine for baths and such which is followed every day practically (toddler and small child, routine is good .) but no real work if we can avoid it.

I always work on Sundays. It's Dh's day to do something fun with the kids and he's really good about not spending money. They usually go to the park, on a hike, or visit family members who live close by.

Sunday mornings are spent in worship. Sunday afternoons are spent, usually, eating a large meal somewhere with friends. Sunday evenings are hectic...we go back for worship and music service. Therefore, Saturday is usually our time for rest.

Sunday is the only day I don't have to go to work, so I generally try to get some things done around the house or outside errands, etc.

This Sunday, I'm hoping to just ...make some pancakes for breakfast, and then sit back and relax!

It varies, but generally, Tim and I rrelax and ead the New York Times. In the warmer weather, we often kayak. In the winter, we hole up in front of the fireplace. We like to cook a good meal on Sundays.

Sunday is my day to sleep in while DH gets up with the kids. We usually play with the kids most of the day, read the Sunday paper, maybe go out to see family or shopping. Low-key day usually. Sunday nights DH and I bowl in a league, so the sitter puts the kids to bed.

I've discovered that crock pot dishes are the best for Sundays, and would recommend them to all of those who have busy Sundays in worship. It beats eating out (cost wise), and gives you more down time between worship services, i.e., Sunday power naps

Sunday means morning church for us and then coming home to either something in the crock pot for lunch, or a casserole I assembled the day before and can heat up. We relax, read the paper, read, do a few chores, and get ready for the work week ahead.
