Can you use body wash to wash clothes?

I get a lot of body wash free after rebate, more than I can use. I've been giving it away but then I wondered if I could use it to wash clothes? It will probably create a lot of suds, but soap is soap so it should work.

Has anyone tried this?

I used it when I hand washed clothes, I used to do my 'delicates' every day in the shower, I was already there the water was and so was the body wash . (now I don't have time or energy for delicates, wearing or washing!)

I agree, soap is soap. What I would do, cut the volume used and add the baking soda as a booster.
