Default Calling Guam

Can anyone tell me an inexpensive way of talking to people in Guam? Money is kind of tight right now (saving up to buy a house) and my brother and his family will be moving there towards the end of this year.

Find out what the rates your current phone company charges and see if they have a plan that will cut those charges. Then compare calling cards and see if you can find something even cheaper. If you will be talking a lot, you might want to try an Internet phone.

I would have to say try to email as much as possible! my sister just got back from Mali (it is in Africa) and we didn't talk at all on the phone but email helps. The time difference is quirky too.

Have you heard of a long-distance provider called OneSuite? I use them because I can call the family spread across the country for very inexpensive rates and there are no monthly charges. I might be mistaken but I think they offer toll-free service to Guam as well, which would be helpful for you.

Use a calling card. They will most likely provide you the cheapest way of calling.

I second the calling card. Make it easy to track expenses and set limits.

have you guys ever heard of phone hog? you get free minutes for trying out stuff from emails that they send you. say for instance if you apply for stuff... they will give you minutes for doing that... i used to do it but have not been in a while.

maybe this will help someone if they are willing to recieve emails and stuff...
