It is. I find this interesting-from the website.

"Save your loose change. Putting aside fifty cents a day over the course of a year will allow you to save nearly 40% of a $500 emergency fund."

I work with people who spend $2-$3 a day in the vending machines...If you are one of those, and put all that into an emergency fund (or a smoker...) just think of the savings!!

Exactly. Many people think of saving as such a chore, but I find it interesting, how you can take a little amount of money and turn it into so much more ~ and it really doesn't take much effort to do so.

I am decluttering my house, and selling stuff I dont need on ebay and locally. My goal is to see if I can save $500 by year end. I have already saved over $100, but don't have the cash for it, as I turned it back into needed items--such as, I sold some outgrown school uniforms, and winter coats, and bought sizes we needed off of ebay--at a fraction of the cost of getting new ones. Still, that is money saved-just not in the bank.

It still counts - if it's saving you money somehow, it's worth it

i always find that saving a dollar is a pleasant suprise, being frugal i dont concider to be a chore. i love doing it! anyone who finds it to be a chore, wait til you save your first 20 dollars, u may change your mind. each dime adds up. you must remember that, ten dimes is a dollar. having a binder with a calculator has saved me too! i look at cost, and see if others would be cheaper. such as ramen noodles regularly priced. 4 for 89 vs 6 for a dollar. stuff like that, will save you a bundle. to me there truely isnt any difference in the generic and kraft mac and cheese, with always save being 25 cents a box vs almost a dollar for kraft, same size and all, i get four boxes almost for one box of kraft. walmarts is normally 33 cents a box so i always buy it at wallace n owens. there are many ideas to mac n cheese saves money too. you can cook hot dogs with the mac, saves a pan also, cut them up in the mac n cheese, hamburger, a lil season all makes it just like hamb helper. i also like it now and then with tom soup. my kids love all these options, with hot dogs being thier fave. you can also just take the dogs out and have dogs in buns, but cooking them with the mac and cheese saves time, a pan to clean, and that would be more energy also.
