I confess, I bought a package of Mr Clean Magic Eraser with a coupon. I cut a thin strip from the pad and tried it on a stubborn shoe scuff-mark. It worked beautifully! I am impressed. If I only cut off a small piece and use it occassionally, the package may last a long time...
Reminds me of another trick I've used for years. A box of soap filled steel wool pads will last a long time too if you cut them into fourths and pour baking soda right in the box on top of them. When you need extra scubbing power, use it and return to box. The baking soda keeps them from rusting. I throw the quartered pad away only after it falls completely apart. |

I love those Mr. Clean Magic Erasers! Although I only buy when I can find coupons. But they work well on Little Tykes tables and chairs and other plastic kids toys. After a while they get dirty in the tiny bumps and grooves, but these really get them clean! I also use them on my textured refrigerator and it really gets the grime off.

Yet another fan of the Magic Eraser here. It is FABULOUS for wall marks and baseboard scuffs...and refrigerators...especially the handles.
I've used a coupon and gotten them at BJs wholesale club. They often have $2.00 off coupons for the big box...and they last forever. I'm still on my first. I think they're worth every penny. |

I have heard they get crayon off the wall, but I am scared it will rip off the primer we have (not real paint

Don't know if it'll rip primer off the walls, but it does really well in getting crayon, pencil and other kid-created markings off the walls. I know it costs a bit, but some things are worth the cost.
As to the Steel-wool pads; I've been using a flat-green abrasive pad we got with a floor-cleaning kit to do our dish scrubbing. I add a bit of dish detergent directly to the pad and it works just like a Brillo pad. I'm thrilled! The thing doesn't show signs of wear, yet, so I may be able to use this for years to come. |
